The only thing I have against infinite. Me personally is theres not enough of a variety of enemies. The only other faction besides the banished are the endless. The endless only has 1 variety. The flying fairy. It gets boring. On the contrary. Halo 4 and 5 unique faction the promethians had a variety of enemy's. The crawlers knights and flying drown things in halo 4. In halo 5 added the soliders to the promethians variety .

I also find the weapons in infinite kind of strange. But not intolerable

The destruction of the grunts home world was initially part of their lore. And it fits well with who they are as a species . They breath methane thet live in harsh environments. But the brute home world was destroyed completely. Gone.

Those losses can be replenished. Destroying the home world of one of the most adored species in the game crosses a line . Its gone forever. They are not meant to vanish like the forerunners or be destroyed like the flood.

I don't think Welker was consulted or not. I think Hasbro and the writers wanted it to happen. But is was Michael Bay who viewed and believed the original G1 voice was cartoony and old man sound. Which is why Hugo was chosen. Welker did voice Megatron in the first two games. I believe when it came to 4th and 5th film, Hugo fell out of favor from fans and Hasbro who had more involvement pressured Bay to add Welker due to his strong and well received performance of Megatron in the TF: Prime show.

A thought poped into my head last night.

It’s well known that Halo has been struggling lately, I think it would be good to see it branch out away from master chief, the Spartans. And into other genras of game.

With this thought came another.

Planetside 2 was a major and long lived MASSIVE battlefield like MMO, the developer however has shut down, and though servers are still up and populated there will be no sequel. And with no other game of its scale or scope on the market it could be a GREAT place for a halo title to expand into.

A Planetside style Halo MMO would be epic, taking place on a little or unmentioned human world during the covenant war, with factions being UNSC, Covenant, and Insurgents would be epic in my mind, and a smart development/financial option for the studio.

Well they never called it that. You can’t change naming conventions and then go back to a previous naming convention but skipping one of them. You either have to call the next one Halo 6 or branch a sequel off of Halo Infinite at this point

I’m just trying to think of any game series that stopped numbering games and then went back to numbering but skipped a non-numbered entry as if it was a numbered one. That is not very common. Battlefield did Battlefield 4, then Battlefield Hardline, then Battlefield 1 and then Battlefield V (Hardline was not considered Battlefield 5). With the AC franchise they did AC Rogue and AC Unity after AC IV and never went back to numbering (we never got an AC V)

So I was just pointing out that it would be weird to call the next one Halo 7 because some new players would be wondering where Halo 6 was and also it’s just not a common practice
