Gang, I cannot lie that Mass Effect is a great series, but someone saying that Shepard could destroy Master Chief with no effort is insane

Depends on which version of Shepard. I imagine a Soldier Shepard would likely not be able to win against Chief, but Chief doesn't have anything to properly counter the powers of a Biotic Shepard since most threats Chief has faced don't have any powers comparable to Biotic abilities. And the one (The Didact) he has faced with powers that can be compared to Biotics was defeated via non-conventional means and luck

But even then, I think Chief would put up a good fight regardless of the outcome

I really think that the deciding factor between Vanguard (biotic) Shepard and Chief is not just luck, but technology. Mass Effect gets points for their weapons, and I say Halo gets points for their ships and the Spartan augmentation. In the end, it all boils down to "can Cortana find a way into Shepard's cybernetics and fry him?"
