at launch it would take like a minute tops for a ranked game to start,you could even choose between a crossplay queue or a console/pc only one,all that's been disabled to try get everyone into the same queue because the population's too low to split them up

it's also why you get bad ping alot of the time in ranked too

it was unfinished at launch,season 2 was a disaster,by the time they got it together everyone already left,the first impression is very important for a live service game

no one had problems with the gameplay apart from things like netcode and the br weapon jamming thing,it's just for alot of people there was nothing to do in it,not even having a progression system in the game outside of the battle pass was awful really. And big team battle was literally broken and unplayable for like 2 months or something crazy

so you already had a very limited pool of game modes that you couldn't even choose from for a while,along with one of them literally being broken lol

If you’re on the series consoles, then there’s a matchmaking bug where you can’t find any matches. Before you join.. make a custom game, leave, set your searching region thing to expanded, and then you can find matches.

Even with the new Marathon not being a direct sequel, the whole thing is about the people of Earth, Mars and the various corporations who invested into the UESC Marathon finding out what happened to the ship, since they don't know about the events of the original games happening

You could put a label on it that says "Alien the Eighth Passenger" and I'd believe you
