See, killing them isn't even the issue, it's just they never really develop much before they die. Like Carter doesn't have any growth and dies third to last on the second to last mission and we barely get to know him beyond "I am the team leader". His VA does a good job with what he was given but I think it just goes to show Noble are in desperate need of some sort of prequel story (Outside of Waypoint Chronicles) to flesh them out more

I don’t think they were one note, a lot of their dialogue/team dynamic is displayed well. I think the game was just such a tonal shift from what people expected, coupled with 6 being a very bland self insert. Bloom was bad, but I personally never had many issues with it. Post TU and with custom games, Reach was peak. Customization was almost perfect

H4 actually built on a lot of what was introduced in Reach (for better or worse), but you rarely come across people that speak poorly of both for the same reasons
