Probably that. There’s a capacitor that’s used to tell the time on the clock on the OG Xbox that blows up. If you wanna tell the time, then you can replace it with a third party. But if you don’t care then just take it off. It exploding and then leaking onto the rest of the components is what destroys the console.

I’ve been scouring servers trying to get a solid answer, so I’m trying to upgrade my ancient 2011 pc rig and my father recommended the following: Alienware - Aurora Gaming Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 7 265F 2025 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB - 1TB Storage, is this any good? I just want to be able to play modern games at a somewhat decent frame rate. Educators salary is terrible so I can’t really afford more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The rig is a little worse.. but it’s just the CPU and RAM that’s less. But you’re running modern games, and you can get a decent 90-120 fps if you optimize your settings right at 1080P.
