Some of the docs I was writing about regarding the biomechanics and xenoanthropology of the Covenant species kinda came to this conclusion.

Grunts don't really have a world that has anything identifiable as a sustainable capability to farm actual food, at least not easily, it's mostly barely habitable volcanic swamps and tundra. The fact grunts had anything even close to a society makes it obvious they're an exceptionally hardy people, but they don't even really have plant life on their world that would make something as simple as clothing viable-there's nothing with fur or useable leather either. The most viable food industry they even seem to be capable of is fishing.

And, actually, Grunts being fishermen culturally makes a lot of sense-they are squat and have long, strong arms capped in claws, covered in thick scales on a world with notably dangerous and carnivorous fish, among other things-and most of the planet's water is shallow and presumably mostly opaque, given the whole swamp thing.

Make use of the 1v1 playlist with another player, Lockdown's the best place to farm for them (get your P2 to jump into the falling ice, it counts as a splatter.)

And I highly recommend Halo Completionist (Silver) for your LASO attempts and Under 3 Hours achievements, but look around for other skips / trick guides as well.
