master chief litrally ran in H2A, and very little H3 cut scenes. hovering/pound makes sense tho, insted of using thrusters for a few milliseconds for a manauver you keep then activated. + The chief has used thrusters in H4/H5/IN so it make sense

What sucks is the story from Halo 4 to Infinite does make sense, but only if you read all the supplemental books needed to actually understand the story. It was a huge ball drop because like maybe 10% of the fanbase actually read the books and stuff from the extended universe. And even then, I only started reading the books a couple years ago. I was one of the many halo fans when halo 5 released wondering who the heck half the new characters were any why they were already so important. I hadn't played spartan ops prior so I didn't know who Jul was. I didn't watch nightfall so I didn't know who Locke was. The whole domain thing was so out of the blue too, because again, I hadn't read the books back then

While yes, there were books released along side the original trilogy, it wasn't necessary for the player to read them all to understand the plot of the very next installment. You didn't have to read the fall of reach and first strike to understand Halo CE going into Halo 2 or halo 3. They all had a story that was contained majorly in the games. The information derived from the books were supplemental not instrumental

And the fall of reach was only released before CE because the dev team ended up needing a little more time to finish CE and couldn't delay the release of the book

Devs constantly adding cool new stuff and mysterious things to find or events to happen

Open world game so sometimes you have to walk or drive through the scandinavian forests to repair or align satellites etc. But you might not be alone in those woods.

The irl job is called the SETI Institute and is funded by NASA and is a really cool thing imo (search for extraterrestrial intelligence)
