• forgers felt they deserved the hero rank because they worked on a bunch of the maps currently in matchmaking
• didn't disclose the glitch until after they abused it massively to reach hero rank
  • the 1st time they reported it then tried to farm it afterwards which didn't give them a whole lot of time before 343i took it off of matchmaking to fix the map
• were clearly being shady about it (they claim it was all innocent messing around)
• added in a undisclosed easter egg that 343i didn't know about which made doing the method 10x easier, the ability to stack points up & such
