My perspective on guns is more finding the engineering and designs more interesting than the actual act of shooting them. It's why Halo 5's gun design is my favorite in the franchise-because a lot of the guns in it are actually designed pretty firmly with realistic interpretations of ergonomics and practical engineering.

One of my single favorite things about the Halo 5 AR, for example, is that it has a brass deflector and the cowling can be near-totally removed to expose a picatinny rail. The model is practically built to be stripped to a base core, and like 50% of the damn thing is furniture kit.

It was also in a very specific location so how did they even rationalize they will destroy the world and not just that specific location?

Bungie never "left halo behind". Bungie wanted to make a different game, but that is not leaving it behind, Microsoft didn't want bungie to make a new ip so they left, imagine making the same game for over a decade. They are just trying to make what they actually want to make. Halo 3 was also supposed to be the finale to the halo series. They wanted to stop at halo 1 originally. Why are bungie obligated to keep halo going?

Even chief's new model isn't something I think they should have used. I think it should have been revised to resemble the Marcus model more. That and the marines.
