Now that they rebranded to halo studios, we’re getting ce remake between infinite and whatever the next title is.

So it does feel a little like we’re in the past… but ce remaster was a very bleh remaster anyway and they want to give the ps audience an introductory title to hopefully grow the fan base

If 343 makes some relatively minor changes to the remake to align a bit more with the classic presentation, I’m confident it’ll be pretty well received and we will stop hearing the incessant whining that we’ve been hearing for 15 years…actually no I don’t believe that at all

I just think that knowing the next game is being developed in UE isn't a good sign at all for multiple reasons, the biggest being that they're likely shifting to UE because they want to continue developing off of contracts and won't have to train contract workers in their proprietary engine so it "moves" a lot smoother as they cycle through people

Let's say you did have MP in CEV, that means IF they decide to remake the other games, you'd have to have MP in those games too, then when a new separate Halo MP experience happens you'd then have the playerbase split between MCC, Infinite, CEV, H2R, H3R and then new title. Along with keeping up with maintenance on all those titles.

Now I understand that Campaign Evolved is trying to be faithful yet expansive to the OG, and adding online multiplayer would throw a monkey wrench in the formula.

The weapon sandbox of CE isn’t large enough to satisfy a thorough and unique Halo multiplayer experience. It’s smaller than Reach’s sandbox which at the time WAS one Reach’s largest complaint on launch.
