Remake usually means changing up the gameplay or adding more levels, and a remastered is keeping everything the same but with updated graphics and that is what we got with Halo CEA from 2011.

They should have done what Bethesda has done with the Oblivion remaster. Use Unreal Engine for the graphics and keep the OG engine just for the physics feel of the game.
