Fatal error is also a bad one, verify files, you can also delete MCC and verify files or do an entire redownload after uninstalling. Also a good thing I’ve found works if that happens, go to files and delete the temporary files and game types too.

Start with reach canonically that’s where it starts, at least as far as I know in the games. If you want sooner I’d say some books/other media. But reach is a pretty good start it’s my favorite and even if you don’t like reach every halo game plays so differently that you’ll most likely find one you really enjoy.

Idk I jus don't like how empty infinite map was and how the populated areas weren't much to discuss on like 3 places come to head when I think halo infinite map the recycler facility the like mountainside drop ship underground tunnel and the first fob u get....also still salty we where promised wildlife and even marines patrolling or doing whatever but all we got was grunt ghost pathing for the roads and maybe NPC marine spawning for a few hundred feet away from every fob

Maybe the shipyard next to all the aa cannons that was another area they did very well

But far and few in-between

There was a time where game took precedent unless explicitly stated otherwise, but now there are so many stories that are so disconnected from the mainline games that it doesn't matter

Aside from Reach, which was a blatant attempt to retcon the original novel by a Bungie on their way out, no book media actually contradicts the games.

The two (including stuff like trailers, comics, etc) work pretty well together unless you start nitpicking.

If you just want to play the games you can, and you don’t really miss anything.

If anything, reading the books makes it harder to enjoy the games, not the other way around, lol
