There's a binding you can use to switch between first person and third person, I believe it's not set by default.

Check the settings.

If the binding does not work after setting it, that means the host has set the game to be exclusively third person

It gives me more insight into why it’s weird to me

Halo 3 has easily the most spectacle of the campaigns in gameplay, but it also strangely feels less grand in narrative. It kinda just feels like wrapping up plot threads done by the other two games in as simple and straightforward a way as possible

Rejoin feature kind of ruins it in MCC since players rejoining change who gets banned retroactively, as well as the lack of messaging. Just yesterday I was playing a 4v2 and asked the other team to leave and they called me a liar, since the pop up tells them quitting with result in bans. Oh well.

Breaking Benjamin's "Blow Me Away" song's first 10 seconds or so is so well projecting the Halo universe theme to me. The instrumentals and the choir sound in the background, etc. I love it and then the badass beat comes on.

It gives me the vibes and atmosphere of Halo's chronicles and Master Chief. It's so hard to put it into words.

I also like Steve Downes. He's just an unc and I think he's the guy to be Chief's face one day.

It kinda made me sad when he said that he can't play Halo games and he sucks at it. Probably isn't familiar with gaming at all. I wish I could teach him how to play. He's something else.

Don’t get me wrong halo 5 guardians is good. The only thing I didn’t like is how weak they made master chief seem. I wouldn't really say the Locke fight made Chief look weak. Like yeah it was a badly done fight but like, a Spartan II in Gen 2 Mjolnir fighting a Spartan IV in Gen 2 Mjolnir is basically a fair fight (The differences in raw strength are negligible at that point). The problem with the fight is simply the fight choreography not being great

Sad story and the reason I have so much love for halo: a while back me and my friend used to play halo on the 360 my family shared and he was a super great guy. The kindest you could meet, and we finished every halo game up to halo reach until he sadly. Passed away but he lives on in my soul and I hope the community accepts that. P.S his favourite character from reach was Carter.

Halo's unique in that it's a sort of cocktail of inspirations. It's derived from Arena shooters but it has vehicles, you scavenge for weapons but can only carry 2, etc.
It also depends title per title.

they definitely walked back some of the armor design in infinite as it feels smoother and simpler

especially comparing master chief of 5 and Inf

the Mark V (B) set in multiplayer for example is really well designed imo

parts still feel a little overtechy but the general look feels sleek yet strong

damn I might have to buy currency for infinite for the reach pass

If you wanna get other passes too, just by season 5 and work backwards through the seasons until you reach the Heroes of Reach pass, that way you don't need to pay for multiple passes as you'll get credits from those later seasons
