And for those who think that the same staff from the 343 days stayed in the revamp, thats false, actually multiple have been let off and alot are now being hired. Let's hope the new ones who were recently hired are the same ones who complained about the current state of Halo

Iirc some old devs actually like some of the changes in modern Halo like Marcus Lehto with Cheif's personality and of course Joe Staten the man the myth the legend. You can apply this entire thing to the Call of Duty fandom as well or any in general. Seems like the Internet has created a sense of "barbarism" or "if you're not with me, you're against me" instead of civility. I actually agree campaign-wise. I think CE anniversary loses a lot of the atmosphere the original was going for, but 2 Anniversary is more faithful and at times enhances it because 2 was so clearly visually held back by the hardware and not in the place Bungie wanted

That’s fair but when Halo Studios introduces new ideas, like a battle royale or a large-scale battlefield mode, a lot of people immediately hate on it. To be fair, and I blame me having played Destiny a bunch lately as I wanted to see something very specific and how it feels, the double jump runs into a similar issue to the jetpack. It leaves you very exposed while airborne. Most people don't like that as it makes them an easy kill. Granted in Halo, we traditionally aren't looking up as much as Destiny but still. As for falling control, it's one of those things where it's kinda always felt different in each game (Some games you feel like you have allot of control, other times it feels like you're just in the air with little control of where you're gonna fall)

However, their immediate market backlash in terms of vocal reception versus profit scared the investors and shareholders; So they immediately canned the CEO and catered to their older fanbase.

Because, don't get me wrong, I love Andor, but I don't think we could quite tell a story like that in Halo due to the nature of the evil empire in Andor being very different to Halo's Covenant. In Andor (And Star Wars in general), the Empire had already taken over and it was the resistance building up against the oppression they were enforcing. Meanwhile in Halo, the Covenant are an alien threat humanity knows next to nothing about until they'd been fighting it for a quarter of a century

Infinite's development troubles were nothing to do with execs only caring about money (which is still not true). They were incredibly passionate about they work they were trying to get done.

Reach had armor lock that was yikes. Weapon recoil was a big thing many didnt like. Forge world was mind blowing but was the only good forge map to use and because of that 98% of maps were grey maps because it was mainly forge world everyone used. Missing weapons like the BR, Brute shot and just alot of weapons and vehicles from Halo 3 like the hornet.
