I think ID software should help develop the Halo Games alongside Halo Studios
Given their track record of Groundbreaking and revolutionary games, Especially with the modern DOOM Trilogy.
they're the kinda people who had the AUDACITY to make every modern doom game unique from each other.
Their latest release doom the Dark ages's engine (Id tech Engine 8) is so well made, that it outdoes UE5 by a surprising long shot

Yes and no
I wouldn't buy it outright unless it's on a big sale, but I got it with gamepass ages ago, and did a 100% run (which was just over 8 hours witg guides), which was honestly pretty enjoyable
The equipment upgrades are fun too, especially the grappleshot

1. Halo Reach (Best depiction of Halo as a whole and what I think Halo should feel like)
2. Halo ODST (Kick*ss Soundtrack, And can't wait to help spread Managed Democracy soon)
3. Halo CE (great starting point... also the birthplace of WORT WORT WORT!!!)
4. Halo 3
5. Halo 2 (Overrated, still a good A- tier though)
6. Infinite (Not bad but went through dev hell.) Too Many Microtransactions (NO UBISOFT MICROTRANSACTIONS DON'T MAKE GAMES FUN!!!!)
7. Halo 4 good writing/story (terrible level and sound design)
   8 Halo 5 (feels least like halo)
   9 Halo TV (THEY massacred my boy!!!!!)

Kinda yea, I'd say it's maybe worth like $20 ish.
The gameplay loop isn't terrible imo, but it also depends on personal preference
Infinite is a more open world campaign (it does have fast travel at least), which some people like myself enjoy, but others don't

I heard it described that Infinite is a lot like Silent Cartographer or Halo as missions from CE, but if you expanded them in scale a lot, made it waaaaaay longer, and added some little things for variety lol

The slowness is kind of a staple of halo, one of the many things which brought fans along. It made the game stand out as its own and not feel like other First Person Shooters. Many games tried to "become halo killers" but they all lacked the sauce that made halo stand out at all. Funny, since most people consider halo 4 to be the death of the halo franchise and many aspects from the original games are missing in exchange for others which made, again, halo feel more like other games of its own genre.

Side note, but some people which worked on "halo killers" went on to work for 343 and on halo 4, and due to their lack of understanding of halo gameplay and whatnot, we ended up with a less unique game.

Imo it feels good to traverse tho, and there's enough options for getting around that it never really feels tedious to get most places (mostly besides secret stuff or the occasional mission)
Plus the weapons are fun, since there's special weapon variants that aren't in most Matchmaking modes (besides Super Fiesta and a couple of the variants scattered on different maps, mostly in BTB)

For me the idea of halo 4 just hit even harder, really instilling the idea that Spartans never die or quit before finishing the fight. With John waking up after years, just overall it was just incredible. The idea of the most notorious and dangerous Spartan that the covenant had ever faced being back like a grim reaper coming back for a second shot just hit right.

I have yet to find my perfect Halo campaign. Reach has a “lack of characters with real personality traits” problem. CE has a “layout repeat” problem. 2 has a “Oh my gosh why are there so many snipers and enemies to cover them” problem. 3 has a…honestly don’t remember that one well. ODST has a…don’t remember that one either lol. And 4 I just…don’t like at all. Haven’t played 5 but it’s hard to ignore the talk of that campaign

At launch it was def far worse than it is now (granted I never played directly from launch, but I still started quite early)
I will agree that yes, it is more MP centric, but it's one of the most fun Halo MPs imo

I'd wouldn't say it's the best blend of classic and modern, but there is definitely aspects of both, and also classic MP modes
The equipment system is similar to H3 (from what I know) and 4
The artstyle feels like a more modernized classic Halo at least to me
The gameplay feels newer but still good
There's a fairly large sandbox, especially now after the last few updates (the stuff from which isn't in campaign unfortunately since they don't have a team for that in the skeleton crew working on Infinite still)

Overall, I do kinda think that, yea, Infinite was more of a testing ground for a new game, or at least has turned into such, but I still find it quite fun, and its definitely one of the more populated games, at least for MP

I think you'll really enjoy it. ME has two awesome storytelling aspects:

Glad back in the old days, people will find issues to fix games. And it's still available today without asking the developer to do things for them.

For an example, max payne. The game will keep crashing constantly and people will find solutions to fix it. It's either changing the source codes or replacing the file so the game can run without shutting down
