You can farm Super Credits or purchase them with real money, they're not very common in missions, spawning in batches of 10, or rarely 100.
Medals are more common and spawn in singles, and also come from Mission completions and Successful Major Orders. These let you unlock items within a said Warbond.

You have East Coast and West Coast, if you're Central, good luck. Then on top of that you basically have 3 Metropolitan areas on both sides of the coasts that get servers.
