It's why Infinite's Firefight Classic allows you to end the match early with the hill that spawns after each set. It doesn't fix all the issues with the mode for matchmaking, but it gives you more control over how long you want to play

Xbox doesn't have remote play? That's surprising, playstation had it for over a decade, and now you can connect almost any device to remote play with your ps4/ps5 anywhere.

I did it with my phone and steam deck, it works wondefully

The best pitch i've heard for a halo-franchise game from the POV of a marine was a flood horror, otherwise I don't see how they could make playing as a marine any fun without basically making a lesser spartan like in ODST

Unfortunately no splitscreen (still don't know why it's not implemented on pc), but someone made a mod recently where it's full native splitscreen just like console (hud is exact same, perspectives, everything, no difference), and people who used the mod on steam deck said it works amazingly

If they mainly play Steam games, steamdeck is a no brainer. UI is good, hardware is solid, and out of the box its great.

If they ever want to play titles outisde of steam (for example, Fortnite) I'd recommend the RoG Ally. Have both and the Ally is also good (more powerful, better screen) but its a little less user friendly since its windows with some extras on top

Yeah honestly, I like most halo games but it feels like there is so much potential being missed out on when for example you can see massive battles in the distance happening on reach for a backdrop but you aren’t involved, just watching not complaining, just wish it was more explored

Halo should have like a massive space war mode 64-128 players, where you can fight on ships of fight in space, both will be balanced out with the ships being shielded from being destroyed from the start, so the ships have to be destroyed from the inside out and from the outside at the same time

So it feels fun to do both space and ground battle

Puzzingly, you can be signed into two places at once. I do it all the time. My personal guess is that allowing Remote Play on XB1 would remove an incentive to purchase another current-gen console.

I will say, whenever the Hub has the TV and I want to play a game on PS4, having it remote play to my ipad is pretty nice and we can "play together" (sit next to each other) while playing our own games.)
