You basically need the knowledge to grab the rocket launcher at the start of the mission and keep the ammo in reserve just to use against the banshees. CE is one of those games where you need the foresight to know what weapons you need in each section and the only time you can get said weapons is 10 minutes before that section otherwise you have to restart.

For example making the mistake of dropping the sniper during truth and rec can be fatal. So much of the mission depends on you having that precision weapon, such as the hanger bay.

Halo 2 is more forgiving in that area since they are kind enough to leave carbine racks everywhere or carbines from enemies.
