The episodes of Halo Legends that it appeared in were questionable in how canon they were due to how they changed how events played out, Halo 3 doesn't end with a UNSC and Covenant coallition banding together to fight the Flood for example. And I highly doubt 343's Guardian design came about because of toy deals or because they wanted to "Make Halo a kids game". 343 don't decide the rating they get for the games they make. And Halo was hardly all that mature in terms of visuals in the first place

If you were there for GTA online in 2013 you'd know that the game was borderline unplayable when online launched. Also I think Rockstar would like most of the public's focus to be on the story mode they've been cooking for god knows how long
