Thinking on it more, it does make a lot of sense that the Warrior-Servant architectural style is so much more grandiose than builder aesthetics.

People try to put it in this way of like, "Oh, the Forerunner-flood war was resource intensive, so they put less emphasis on aesthetics to cut corners"; But ultimately, I don't think that's the case at all. I think that the Builders merely had a different design style preference that was geared to the boring.

And if there's one thing aggressive 'warrior cultures' pride themselves on, it actually tends to be their aesthetics and culture.

If Halo studios added playable Sangheili to Infinite or any future title, Do you think there should be a good lore reason?
My idea is that due to the alliance struck by the Arbiter and Lord hood near the end of The Human/Covey war, the are allowed to join the spartan program or some part of it IDK,
They wouldn't receive augmentations as that would be Op as an elite is as strong as a Spartan 2. and elite culture has only opened up to allow treatment of minor injuries, and even that was controversial for elites.

I think it's pretty obvious that Humanity are the direct descendants of Forerunners. I mean, the word reclamier itself is enough evidence as it is. I just think the idea that Precursors fulfill a similar role to the Forerunners, as the Forerunners to Humans to be a quite interesting concept. Basically, it's an infinite loop.

I think the original concept is far more interesting than the current narrative retcon that Forerunners are a seperate group entirely. Furthermore, I think the clear parallels between the Bible and the Forerunners make for a very interesting connotation. Basically, that both Covenant and Human religions regarded the Forerunners as a god-like entity. (God created humanity in his own image) alongside the Ark being created to safeguard spicies from the great flood.

I think one could draw these parallels further with the Precursors being the equivalent of God to the forerunners, and if you stick to the Biblical narrative theme I think that one could argue that the Precursors created the Forerunners in their own image.

I also find the name precursor pretty interesting in itself as it is basically a synonym of forerunner.

I know that the precursors aren't canonically specified as forerunner. But originally, there was nothing to say anything against that concept either prior to Microsoft's acquisition of Halo. Basically, much like the original games it comes down to interpretation, which I find to be far more intriguing and mysterious than just setting plain rules.

A. the graphics look... worse (Credit where it's due the graphics engine was meant to use stencil shadows and such, but back then i think Bungie was a bit too arrogant and over-ambitious).
B. the gameplay feels... kinda average for a halo game.
C. The Difficulty on the other hand is DASTARDLY! Legendary is unbalanced to the point it breaks the lore of the game. (MK 6 Mjolnir is supposed to have Stronger Shields, Yet you can be 1 shot-ed by a Jakal Sniper) Your shields go down in around 1/2-4 hits, and LASO IS a nightmare that had a baby with night TERRORS and gave it steroids.

D. Chief feels more like doomslayer, without the fear factor slayer gives to his enemies
He ALMOST feels like a boderline Gary Stu (Mary Sue but male). And i don't think the music choice for some of the levels, like fighting on the Scarab hits well for me. although it has some good tracks.
E. Dual-Wielding, Whilst very cool and badass, is not very realistic or tactical. Especially for a TACTICAL SHOOTER, which is why you don't see it in COD games or other shooters. mostly due to reduced target acquisition, reduced accuracy, as you shooting both guns one handed, making harder to fight the recoil. and you run out of ammo faster.

Haven't played Infinite for a long time.

Think it's my least played game out of the entire franchise.

(Discounting Halo Wars and other non-FPS Halo's).

Infinitie is a massive shame. At it's core it's genuinely a good game. But it's been plagued by a myriad of issues that have sabotaged it. The greatest of all being it's god awful Netcode.

I just miss coming home from school and playing Halo: Reach. Those were the days.

And the clipping issues is why I hope they modify the placement of the shoulder armour in Infinite. There's plenty that just don't sit right at all on certain cores and merge into the player's arm (And some that are just floating)

But that's just the nature of cross core shoulders not being a thing when the core system was created and then being added after

If anything, what I'd love to see is a soft reboot. Basically, Decanonise everything post-Halo 3 in the timeline. The story across the 343's "Reclaimer Saga" has been incoherrent at best. The games barely connect to eachother, let alone the pre-established lore of the Bungie era.

The only way out of that issue, is to either erase the post-Halo 3 timeline or start making prequels set before Halo: Reach.

Yeah sure, but the biggest travesty with Infinite is that at it's core it's actually a really decent game. Just suffers a plethora of major problems which would have been avoidable with better direction.

Having multiple studios develop an engine on contract is insanity. The problem wasn't necessarily the Halo Devs themselves, but instead the upper management.

Just feels like they start narrative storylines, and then just jump ship to a different storyline without wrapping up what came before. Good example of that being the jump from Guardians to Infinite.

It kinda is though, way too many loose ends and unfinished narratives. What the heck happened to the AI rebellion, or the guardians? Like the games don't explain any of this properly. Halo 5 ends on one narrative cliffhanger, and Infinite starts an entire new one (which also ends on a cliff hanger with th endless). I feel like the studio has been throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Luckily, I think Halo Infinite is a good enough platform to launch a future trilogy of games off of. It's just a shame that the previous games have sorta been forgotten about and not resolved.

We know what the Guardians are, that's explained in Halo 5. The reason we don't directly see Cortana get killed in Infinite is because people complained about her being evil, and thus, the writing team pivoted to introduce a new threat. And I wouldn't really call the end of Infinite a cliffhanger

Don't get me wrong, I actually think the concept is great. Just wish we got to see more of the other characters (Apart from Chief, Wpn and Echo 216). Like, what made the old Halo Games so good is that Chief is more of a vessel for the player. The main characters (personality wise) are Keys (both of them), Johnson, Arbiter, Prophets, Lord Hood, etc.

I think Chief as a character (with a defined personality) is best executed in Infinite. They did a great job with him. Just wish we got a little more. Lasky could easily have become the Cpt Keys of the Reclaimer saga for example.

I think you've nailed exactly the root of what's bothered me about the campaign that i haven't been able to describe. I started getting actually annoyed with Chief. But what you're saying makes total sense why: he was never a good connection point for bonding with the story characters anyway.
