Since nobody has to get used to the slipspace engine for 6 months prior to work on the actual game, it atleast means devs have it way easier getting used to because slipspace was just bad to work with

I do like horde shooters, but it's more the way the classes mechanically function that makes me really like Darktide. The constant pressure combined with the highly variable class roles.

You can have pressure without hordes, it just makes it easier to apply if you have them.

the annoying part for me about removing a ping on replies specifically is you can lose track of messages directed at you. they don't show up in notifications, so if you step away from the active convo there's no good way of finding if someone engaged with you aside from going back through chat

You're right, but many of us mods have already let it be known that we're cool with pings. I wouldn't sweat it too much: if you ping a mod for the first time because you're naturally replying, and they don't want pings, they'll let you know. It's not the end of the world haha.
