They're each good for different objectives. GoT was a ton of fun because each season it was like being part of an international event where so many people could talk about it together. I'll always prefer LOTR though because the universe is more well-realized and the themes are grander. GoT lore is pretty anemic outside of Westeros and western Essos.

• the journey begins with a strong fellowship

• Mines of Moria - watcher fight, cave troll fight, and beginning of balrog fight
• actual excellent display of Middle Earth magic via Gandalf v Saruman during the snow mountain scene. Shows that magic is not just like the stupid magic of Star Wars or Harry Potter
• Boromir falls to ring but is redeemed
• Aragorn resists the ring, lets Frodo go
• cool trio of aragorn, legolas, gimli decide to hunt some orcs
• Sauron temptation moments with gandalf, frodo, boromir, aragorn, galadriel

but falls just fine with general audiences not really into the deep books or stories or lore.

like im sure some fell asleep to the new Dune movies somehow, and they are amazing movies excellently done and even satisfy old people who read the books. like im glad they didnt generalize the universe just so try to appeal to anyone and everyone. It can end up not being the universe anymore at all. Best thing to do, if you want to find a job in the games industry, is to start by building up a portfolio of work. Look for open positions in smaller companies and get some experience. That's your best route into larger companies. Job postings are always fully advertised

I'd argue that CEA is what led to the current trend of remaking and remastering games. Sure there was a couple remakes or remasters that happened before CEA (Best example I can name is RE1make), but those were rare and actually expanded upon the game being remade (Which CEA did with the library you can fill by scanning enemies). These days, most remasters are updating the textures while any remake is either too afraid to change too much, made simply to make more money without much thought into making it stand out next to the original or, in the case of FF7remake, RE2make and RE4make, are making changes while still showing reverence towards what made them great

That being said, I do hope the era of remakes and remasters does end soon, we need new games for people to grow to love

And like, right now, the last thing Halo needs is to go back and remake itself when it really needs to look forward into the future

It's not like Resident Evil where the remakes are existing alongside new games that continue the story

so there's a thing i've noticed between input methods in MCC. picking up a weapon like SMG on controller, the recoil is far more exaggerated even when you're controlling it. but on mouse, even when NOT controlling the recoil (i.e not pulling down), the recoil doesn't seem to be there at all

Yeah, 3rd person won't be something you can enable at the player level, it will be playlist / game mode specific.

There will likely be various matchmaking playlists that have it, most of it will be custom games.
