I started playing Halo Wars today and I’m currently stuck on Scarab. I get the key is micromanagement but no matter what vehicles I throw at it, they do negligent damage. YouTube tutorials, first you should figure out what kind of editing you want, if it's basic sequencing you are trying to do get ama software like davinci resolve, if you're trying to do motion graphics get after effects, if you want to do 3D get blender or c4d. Lastly I suggest you assign yourself a project and start creating content.

No problem, ya pp n AE combo is powerful if you get the hang of it, I can do entire projects in AE which is nice, my friend would tell you I'm stubborn though I legit use Vegas 10 for sequencing cuz later versions of Vegas are scuffed and I don't want to learn a new sequencer when I already know one lmao but ya for most people basic sequencing is what they need to know. You can learn everything to sequence in like a day.

You select one of them, select the games, then the lobby shows you 3 missions to vote for

Lets say: select 4, 3 and odst, then you get into a halo 3 game and the game shows 3 missions to vote

And that fell out of the scope of the project.

Not to mention how few folk used Campaign Matchmaking when it was available back in Reach.

If you're running on identical hardware it runs fine, but any differences in performance will amplify desync to the point where it could be unplayable.

The work done on ODST's Firefight short-cutted H3 and ODST's Campaigns, which is why we have (experimental) crossplay for those two, but iirc the pub team said it would take six months to a year per game to fix the netcode.

TBF I didn't play Halo 5 until it had been out nearly half a year. So if there was a point there wasn't a patch I wouldn't have known about it.

That said, god was that stupid. I know the theoreticals of why it got added ("People are using it to run away"), and they just make me more irritated about it.

Like, using movement tools to escape death is literally a foundational element of shooter gameplay. Surviving equals not losing points equals net gain.

That's a bit different because you can just build to run away in AC6. It's annoying, but the mechanics incidentially encourage doing it to grief because both players load in with fundamentally different approaches to the duel.

In 5, both parties have the exact same toolkit when it comes to movement.

I don't mind it though since I could see it mainly properly used in competitive arena settings when coordinating with your team is an priority. Though for BTB and Warzone it's definitely a hindrance given the chaotic nature of vehicle fights.

I think it's a broad mistake to listen to comp players unerringly, if that's a better way to put it. Any complaints they have are ones that should be looked upon with suspicion, as they have a vested interest in making a game more predictable for them. It's self-serving.

It's like how I would never listen to the criticisms of the majority of content creators once they've been outed as bad faith actors like much of Halo's have been.

If you profit off of being angry and lying to my fans, why should I listen and cater to you?

halo just has a exceptionally toxic conversation around its comp and casual experience.

343 say they wanna build an experience that can be adapted for both, but then they'll upset one community at the expense of the other time and time again.

I think ultimately both experiences just need to be more tailored and the game really just didn't deliver to expectations with the live service

and there's a ton of common ground with a lot of the balance changes benefiting both experiences but that gets forgotten about

a lot of changes coming earlier in Infinite's life would have made a big difference imo

The biggest flaw in inifinite was the lack of giant snakes. You should be able to fight giant snakes on the ring and capture and ride one like a horse. No giant snakes = 2 stars out five.

Haven’t figured out why HCS settings have to be the same in game ranked settings. Historically hardcore was separated out and iterated on alone which seemed to work well (admittedly a tad more effort).

In first time I gave up playing because of the high difficulty
And on the second time I am filled with determination and beat that nightmare

So from that time I am never gonna play halo 2 even on normal difficulty

Halo 3 and CE on legendary are easy
