They're playing a far more toned down version of the game, but I don't know if should be a 343 step in thing. It's their choice to play a distilled version of the game. Halo 3 had eighteen weapons, not including grenades and turrets. MLG settings used six of those. Not my type of game, but power to them I guess.

Honestly, I'd prefer if 343 wasn't even involved in the competitive scene. Give us tools that anyone can use to make any format of play within the sandbox they want, but don't at all cater to a competitive playstyle in any regard outside of if Halo moved back into a larger eSports consortium such as back in the MLG days.

If Halo were to do that, instead of having it's own eSports league in a bubble, I could see them having a competitive playlist that 343 cedes control of over to the eSports committee. Would be their own playlist to set modes/maps however the committee agrees on, without it being a 343 thing.

Granted Mjolnir doesn’t have dedicated weapon platforms. It depends on how and if Tony creates distance and just bombards the hell out of Chief, I suppose.

I’m inclined to say Chief with fully kitted Gen 3 wins since he’s a substantially better combatant than Tony.
