No, this is the best one in my opinion. Mage allows you to sit back and see the whole game instead of being all up-close. And human is nice because you get to be a quarterback encountering all these other characters' histories.

I thought I was a mage and realized I was actually an archer-rogue, and then I remembered that I had discovered I wish I had picked mage but it was too late by then.

One of the things I also like abotu DA's party system is you can play as the other party members too, so you can still get mage gameplay by bringing a mage along with you. You aren't locked to just your custom character.

Something I really like about character progression for your party is that you can prioritize which actions they randomly do, Never, Normal, or First Choice. Very nice if you want a character to always set up your party or use a long-range special attack or something.

And then you can set at which health level they will pop a potion.

Well after you get everyone organized, you're rewarded with less maintenance in party behavior, which is nice.

But I do feel like the very fact that I--a dummy who normally can't handle RPGs--not only can handle DAI but actually enjoys and loves it: a testament to how well they made a a great game.

The biggest issue as I see it is the rotating contractor stuff that big companies do. They can't build a team if the whole team is different in 3 months

Liked the gametype, though I overheard population dropped fast on that playlist back in the days of 4.

Always populated gamemodes were Team Slayer, BTB, Flood, CTF, Grifball and Oddball. FFA, Extraction, Regicide and Dominion varied depending on peak hours.

Which was a shame since Regicide was VIP done right. Especially if you pulled of an execution on the king.
