Brought the sandbox back to equal starts after Reach's maligned changes, expanded BTB to an even larger mode with more chaos, made Forge into a defacto map maker, had the first bespoke intended to be played as 4 player co-op Halo campaign with a renewed interest in massive vistas and backdrops with plenty of character interaction and dialogue in missions, plus a long series of audio logs that expanded the slices of life in the universe.

In short, it's overhated due to having a plot that can be hard to understand if you aren't much of a story person, but is still plenty engaging.

Bungie got bought by Microsoft to make them games. But when it comes to 343. It was basically a bunch of different game devs that came together to make halo. Those game devs also had the great idea of hiring people that hated halo. Honestly I would have loved it if they worked on something original that wasn't Halo. We could've gotten a good game series maybe.

Apologies I meant the current elements. They hated the current elements so much they changed them to the point where it was closer to call of duty than Halo. Maybe some of the information is a bit fuzzy in my head but I think at the time of Halo 3, half of the player base moved on to MW2. Guessing by the people who worked on Halo 4, Those people didn't like those current elements of Halo 3 and wanted a more modern Halo. I don't really know what happened but that's my take on it.

Okay let me explain. Fallout 76 was basically bad when it came out but they still kept updating it since 2018 and their live service agreement was for 8 years. So when those 8 years are up, they will no longer update the game or servers (same thing that happened to Titanfall 2). So Halo infinite has been out for 3 years and their live service agreement was for 10 years but they have stopped all major updates as they are moving to other Halo projects.

There's nothing really 'leading to' the Ark.

Didact did something there during the events of Halo 5 and Infinite, which is whatever.

Atriox went there for something in Wars 2, and then left after he got what it was he went there for.

Spirit of Fire is not there by choice, so they're stuck there and can't leave.

Pretty much everyone involved with the Ark is kinda just stuck there, with the Ark itself kind of lacking in significance right now from a narrative perspective.
