Anyways, you could fluff it out kinda like HBS Battletech mixed with XCOM.
- Player Character is the "Spartan Commander" a'la Palmer, and is playable but doesn't have to go on missions.
- Ship starts the game poorly kitted out to handle the Banished and Created and whatever else, because it got savaged by the start of the Created Conflict somehow and needs to be brought back online.
- Game's menu end centered around a mix of managing the ship and upgrading it, maybe having XCOM style side missions where you need to defend it from boarders or whatever.

After a game update or driver update the game has to recompile textures. This goes for most modern games but for some reason infinite doesn’t tell you it’s compiling textures
