Ultimately I don’t mind since my k/d is pretty consistently positive at this level and the matches are overall enjoyable

with how much Infinite factors team shooting if your team decides to play their own style it can either work out good or terribly

I went on a crazy win streak from D3 to D6 and now hovering back at D4 after rough losses

some days 80% winstreak, others 50%, one day 30%

csr losses hit harder the higher you rank up

population issue too because way more smurfs who squad up with friends and you run into them multiple games

you can tell its a smurf in the 4stack when their best player has hundred or so games played and everyone else has multiple thousands

I don't bother with ranked. I can't find good enough controller settings to get where I should be with the way the aiming and strafe is setup in this game.

oddball games where the clock runs out with less than 50seconds each team

I might not be good enough for 2k onyx but I seen enough streams to see the pattern in gameplay to reach high elo

thats why its so hard for players good in matchmaking to play in a hcs setting

For people who aren't playing with their teams, they won't get very high skill rating because they won't be securing wins. MMR and CSR go down on a loss, so every loss is a setback.

Let me give you an example, I can be a terrible teammate but if I lose only -4 for a loss and +15 for wins I just need 1 win to offset 4 losses

I will almost certainly gain more in the end with a 50% w/r

all you need is a couple of those obj players on your team to secure the wins

its all good man the topic is beaten to death nothing is getting changed until Halo 7

Okay. I see what you're getting at. That does present a problem when you look at things with the smaller scope of individual matches and what kind of behaviors the system seems to promote. Ultimately, I think that's just something that comes with the territory of Halo's skill rating system, which is more about determining skill, versus a system that's more about something like a ladder climb.
