I feel like this is a lamentably crippling perspective on the issue that people need to think more about before they stop thinking of solutions.

I thought that once too, then I kept thinking around the issue and no longer thought that.

For example-The Created didn't actually own many worlds, IIRC maxing out around about 16 human inner colonies and Earth-most of their power is concentrated in human territories and they don't have a ton of hard power outside of those areas or the Guardians.

Additionally, two Guardians were already killed by human action before whatever happened to the one in Infinite.

So they can be killed.

The Guardians honestly relatively barely figure into their power over humanity.

You can survive an emp, but not starvation or thirst.

A lot of the threats the Created had were still building; They could keep opposing powers down, but not reliably grip at internecine warfare even on worlds they 'pacified', which makes sense. They're trying to 'rule' with iron on worlds already made of it.

Before Epitaph and Infinite, I figured you could even work the Didact into it on humanity's side, marginally-trying to destroy the ancilla 'usurper'.

On that mission, you can indeed find shotguns there, but only on Easy difficulty
