You can use them externally, but their read/write speed, which is their selling point, will be throttled by the USB transfer speeds.

you can get somewhat decent speed with a PCIe add-on board in a x1 slot

If it's not plugged into your motherboard directly, it isn't. Check your manual to see if it's compatible.
Writing speeds too. If your motherboard only supports up to PCIe 3.0 on those ports, then an NVMe with 4.0 speeds will be throttled by the 3.0 tech, essentially wasting your money.

There is a fine difference between being a jerk and an annoying person on Xbox Live rather than someone who just trash talks for fun & doesn't unintentionally mean it. What is important is having strong chat reporting, for voice and text. Reporting for chat should send all of the match's audio and text for review. Solve the "it only matters if it was in text" complaints.

Bloom is weird in Halo because of the way aiming works. In most other games, you counter bloom by aiming down sights to make you accurate, since hipfiring is inaccurate. In Halo, that doesn't really do anything since there is no penalty for hipfiring.

I think part of it is that the end goal is for cores to still function as an 'island' and some concepts just aren't specific enough to be worked into a single core.
