you can get SSDs that will max out a SATA 3 bandwidth for insanely cheap that will be at least triple the speed of the best hard drive. If ur PC can run a game like Infinite, I'm really not sure why you'd be booting off a hard drive

Your HDD might be dying.
I had the same drive, and it gave me 100% usage with terrible performance when I had Windows on it a long time ago. When I checked its health, it had bad sectors, then it just got so bad that even Windows would fix errors on startup.

I'd recommend an SSD.

Hey, I’m trying to grind to hero rank on halo infinite, and was wondering if anyone has any advice getting better at the game, I’m currently silver private II and my aim is terrible

what helped me with my aim is playing LASO campaign, especially for there not being a HUD so i had to get some muscle memory on where the reticle was. movement is a thing to practice for as well but that is something that takes a bit to learn from yourself. I just watched high level gameplay and kinda emulated what they did a bit.

theres also custom games thatll help you aim too but i cant remember what theyre called. its literally just an aim trainer and you choose how many targets(bots), how they move around, if theyre shooting at you, and what your weapon is. theyre pretty cool and a useful tool for the people who want to get better, or just to warm up also.

Try Fiesta.

You spawn with random weapons and it can help with improving your skill with non-standard weaponry.

You could also play academy or firefight to improve your aim without the pressure of other players.

i think the underlying issue is it doesn't match you with similarly skilled players on your own team first. it aggregates your skill with your team, which often results in games with a really good player teamed up with mediocre/bad teammates

This is totally normal in team sports. If you do 5v5 pickup you'll have players that are better than others. Overall team parity is the only thing that matters; no one is going to say all individuals need to be equally skilled in any team situation.

If you place already higher than your main on an alt you already skipped a hundred games you would've struggled on your main. Honestly though, i do get the emotion: it's not fun to lose. But I personally think it's good to be encouraged to reframe 'fun' as playing Halo vs win/loss.
