It took me half-a-dozen tries to get through the first game. But I found I quite liked the other two.

If I hadn't picked the background I did I likely wouldn't have done it that time. As it was one of the background specific missions that actually got me interested.

Of course then I had to figure out how to get the space bigot off my ship. Turned out that option wasn't to far away.

I had a mild arachnophobia when I was young (long story short a spider did nearly kill me), but I spent some time reading about them, watching them, and found them sort of fascinating after I got over the phobia. I tend to leave them be, unless I'm demanded to rehome them.

If you're on Xbox, I'm pretty sure it reports packet loss in the network test located somewhere in settings. If not, you can probably load up that site on the console browser. I'm not sure, as I haven't touched an Xbox in years.

Stroganoff is a good one - made that last night
Dice 2 onions, fry medium heat for 2 or 3 mins in a tablespoon of oil
Add diced pork (small strips) with salt and pepper, fry for a few more
Add 1 heaped teaspoon of sweet smoked paprika
200ml of chicken stock
Reduce heat and reduce liquid to about half
Add 75g of crème fraiche and stir round for a minute or 2
If it doesn't thicken up enough, add 1tsp of cornflour to 1tsp water, mix and add in. Should thicken up
Sprinkle with dried parsley, serve with rice

Sprinkle both sides of your chops with salt and pepper, press in but not too hard
Fry in a little oil and a teaspoon of butter
Put in a baking tray and cover with cheese sauce (packet sauce it totally fine) and shredded cheese (mixed cheddar works well) and sprinkle over some fine breadcrumbs
Bake at about 200 (deg C) until the cheese on top has melted
We serve with boiled potatoes and veg

Yeah, I had something somewhat similar with my old computer 'cus it was going bad. It'd suddenly blackscreen and nothing would be running, but the computer would still be running. I couldn't turn it off unless I unplugged the power cord, and then I'd have to wait a while before it'd work again. My problem was specs and aging.

Seriously though, as games age, the players who remain tend to perform better. They're more dedicated to the craft of smashing you into the dirt. If you've been out of the game for a while and just getting back into it, you're gonna be rusty against people who are well honed.
