Actually now that I think about it that explanation doesn't even sound right... It pairs you up based on the highest rank in the lobby. When I play with them their games get harder, it stays the same for me. So we are never playing against lower skill players, my friends are forced to play against higher skill players

So it doesn't matchmake based off or the highest rank. What it does is matchmake off of the average rank, and in the case of parties, it takes that average and adds a little on top, because the system assumes a party is more coordinated than randoms, and more likely to win. In your case, accounting for just the highest and lowest ranks, which you said was D4 and Plat6, the average is around D2, and it would be a little higher or lower depending on your other party members. Then it adds a little on top because you're partied, which puts it around the D3 and D4 range, which is around your skill.

The main driver for how your CSR moves is your MMR.

Your CSR is always trying to chase your MMR. So if your MMR > CSR then you will get more for a win and lose less for a loss. The opposite if MMR < CSR - where you get less for a win and more for a loss.

Everyone will have different MMRs and they will push or pull on your CSR differently.

And it depends on what you mean by "do better".

The main personal performance metric for your MMR is kill rate (KPM).

So, if you are out performing your buddies in that regard then yes, your MMR will go higher and pull your CSR up harder.

The MM grabs a bunch of players depending on locale (ping) and wait times. Within a specified range of MMR (which may be looser for some playlists than others).

In Ranked it does it's best to pull that lobby based on CSR (which is silly) and then divides the team based on MMR.

Not really, they where cut from the final bit because of time limitations on the game. you where to see them again.

Ruby changes assault on the control room and two betrayals. In assault on the control room the Marines push to take control of the control room.

In two betrayals you see marines guarding it as a major attack happens and they start to evac as you leave that area. This is the last time you see them as they retreat to alpha base.

I can't say more then that wiht out spoiling som major moments in the mod.
