Infinite is basically doing that right now. Forge is almost limitless, you're seeing forgers re-create almost every past halo map

Linear is garbage. I think they could do open world again, but be much more creative, and not be so repeating/pattern-based. It requires more work, but hey, they probably figured out a pattern of their own for the cheapest way to create the campaign.

Once you've done one sector in the Infinite campaign, you basically have played the entire campaign at that point

If they did do an open world, it has to be filled with action and different objectives, not just the same kill this save that. There was huge potential for a scarab or a grunt goblin fight which 343 missed

Open world is meaningless unless there is substance. If the point of Halo being open world is to merely just be able to free-roam around the intended area and kill baddies, then that's only going to be fun for a short amount of time. The open world needs to have substance in regards to the missions, and each should be unique so that the player can approach them from any direction based on their decisions.

I think there's a framework right now with Infinite, but it needs further design and expansion to get it right.

Best thing to do would be to build a portfolio of work, do some small side projects and look at working with smaller companies first. Eventually you'll be able to apply for positions at larger developers.

Point 3 is explained by a mix of common sense (IVs) or about as relevant as knowing what the PoA was in CE
Composer is explained in the game
Blue Team is obvious because of the whole 'boot camp' thing and also explained via co-op character roster explanations
Osiris is explained in the game the same way
Cortana is a bit trickier but the dialogue explained it too in the game

Like it or not. the reality is humans do not want to read a massive book before playing their fav game. Its just how things are done. The game designers need to recognize this and put important info in brief statements at the intro and during game play
