I agree and I believe that's a big reason behind CoD carrying in-game currency over, Fortnite keeping its new games within the same currency ecosystem, and Assassin's Creed's upcoming Infinity game hub.

MTX has been the principal driver of gaming revenue for some time, so I'm sure companies are open to anything that will increase spending. I know that if I believe that my stuff won't carry over and the game seems to be nearing the end of its active life cycle, then I'm less incentivized to spend.

I'm starting to feel that way about Infinite now that it feels from the announcements that it's moved from growth to sustenance.

Mechanical faults of the same flavor still occur if you don't solve the basic mechanical issues. The UNSC's guns visually do not solve these basic mechanical issues.
