MW2 (modern version) is the most fun i've had in an FPS game for some time. I tried Warzone and that was not it. I have played many great FPS games over the years, Halo infinite is great. Drip feed content ruins the game and playerbase shrinks because of it. Every mode should be available at launch if you want a playerbase that stays. Most of us are frustrated how a game this good can be managed in such a terrible manner.

suggestion: I wish there was a feed next to the kill feed in game during multiplayer that told you how many alive/dead on your team at any given time. Checking the scoreboard constantly through a match takes away from being able to play. Like, it would be nice if there was a static overlay at the very top of the screen, like Rainbow Six Siege, where you could see how many alive/dead at any time during the course of the match. That intel is vital to making plays in the game.

no, they will get the penalty. you won't if you quit after them since you're not in the same party. Does that make sense? It makes it fair. I asked the same question the other day and they linked the recent update from last year in the fall, where they don't give penalties to players who quit after their teammates quit that are not in the same party.

no, we just play/prefer different type of mp games. I like a more organized 4v4, 5v5 game, similar to real sports. I get the attraction to BTB, but it's like Battlefield, it's just a chaotic mess with no real teamwork involved, unless you have a whole fireteam of 8 players working together, then I can see the fun in it, but that's ultra rare to have a group like that to play with.

I solo ranked arena, it's rough, but I finally got to plat. None of my friends will play Halo anymore, for whatever reason. I think Infinite is one of the best in the entire series up there with HCE and Halo 2.

Honestly, I want to see more marines wearing a variety of the gears seen through the games. Marines aren't really the focus on Infinite (though they couldn't help themselves but to quadruple-dip on the Reach worship with them), but I wish we saw them in more of a motley riot of gear from all the games, not just Reach and not just either pants and a t shirt or full Reachite battle rattle.

I never thought of that. I always accepted as basically like seeing RTS units on screen: lvl 1, upgraded to lvl 2 (ODST), upgraded to lvl 3 (Spartan). Not equal in upgrade difference but just visual gameplay.

That’s why they created forge world so you can make a bunch of maps on it which is what they used for matchmaking

No matter how different a map would look, you still had grey forerunner structures with a halo world on it

I like the dlc maps though, I think that map badlands or whatever where you see the covenant cruisers glassing the surface was pretty dope

Armor coatings apply colors and patterns to certain regions: region 1, region 2, region 3 and so on. What color + pattern the coating says should be in a specific region, goes in that region on the armor.

I personally think ODST did firefight the best out of all the Halo games, and that's coming from someone who praises Reach too much.

• Reach firefight is more arcade-y. You're tough, you're given strong weapons, and there's still enough challenge but if you're good enough you'll just be having a friendly competition with your teammates to see who can rack the highest score.
• Halo 5's warzone firefight is the biggest by far, but it's too big for me, because everything had to be designed to accommodate the mass of players flying around with OP req weapons. The result is making you feel insignificant as an individual while not being encouraged to work closely with your team.
• Infinite's firefight is a more condensed return to 4-player firefight with less weapons than 5, but more tools at your disposal and without req packs. It can be high-octane, but it also allows you to go somewhat slow.
• ODST is perhaps the slowest iteration, but I love it. You're the weakest in that game, you can't see the scoreboard until after the game's done, and ultimately you're encouraged to work together with your team to win. You're less likely to feel like your kills are being stolen, but rather, you and a comrade worked together to take down a common foe.

Infinite's campaign was great on the first playthrough. Then it was pretty good on the second playthrough. Then I left it for a couple months, came back to 100% it for some stances in the multiplayer and to test how strong my new computer was, and then never touched it because there's better campaigns in the MCC that offer more level diversity.
