That's usually due to how latency works in online games, because there's a few schools of thought regarding how that works. Shots 'making ninety degree turns to kill me' is usually due to latency.

IE, it's not actually making the alleged turn-it's hitting where the server agrees you are.

This sort of solution to latency is, in fact, one of the most common. I'm not sure how the Halo fanbase managed to gaslight itself into thinking this is just a Halo thing.

Instead of, y'know, the default way latency has been handled for nearly two decades plus.

Just to clarify this - the game did this, not a player. Firefight has a chance of starting the game with certain skulls active or enabling them during play. Bandana, or infinite ammo, is one of those. It's not a bug or someone hacking/modding

What does the future of Halo look like? I keep seeing a new game is in the works, but truthfully I would have been fine with a campaign DLC for Infinite.

I have zero clue what this studio is doing anymore.

As far as I'm aware, all we know is that there is a season 2 of the Halo TV show and a new Halo book (Epitaph) coming out soon.
Personal view: We'll have Infinite for another year or two, and then support will transfer over to the new Halo game. That's with the assumption that the next Halo game will have PvP.

What's really crazy is with forge they could be doing so much. They already do a good bit with it but with that tool the possibilities are limitless

This isn't unusual in the gaming industry, it has a fairly high turnover, especially at the end of game releases or big project releases. Folk will often move on to work on something different, people leaving is rarely ever a bad thing tbh
