The problem is there are plenty of studies and real life examples that show it is in fact bad for children. It’s mentally and emotionally damaging, changes focus, lowers attention spans, etc. It equally hurts adults, but in other ways that are not developmental based. I wouldn’t be opposed to stronger regulations on these platforms.

Gave up somewhat early on, hopped in now that Firefight and AI for forge are a thing. Been very much enjoying the throwback matchmaking offerings as well.

Would love to see a Sandtrap remake added to the Squad Battle playlist but the Infinite sandbox might not play so hot on it in compare to the other maps they've selected which have pretty strongly broken sightlines.

Would also want the elephant back in Infinite for it to really be a true map remake though.

Air Force would be a wise choice. I was enlisted Navy and we have a pretty awful quality of life. frankly being on a ship sucks in every way. US Navy also operates as if we are in wartime - bc our missions are mostly deterrence of foreign powers, so we always need ships deployed out to sea. That means deployments are ALWAYS extended to about 9 months long each, oof. so between 9+ month deployments, watch, no sleep, general quarters, ship life, ship food, no privacy, etc no never again

a bit confused about the new event pass system, is season 5 technically over? I know that I could switch to it if I bought the pass, but the only active pass right now is the event pass. Do they no longer run in parallel?

Season 5 is still ongoing, but the events now are pretty much their own mini Battle Passes

They technically run in parallel, since you can swap between the Season 5 pass and the operations pass (assuming you bought the S5 pass)

If you didn't buy anything, then you can only progress the event pass at the start of a season (all the free stuff is in the first 20 tiers to accomodate this) then the Operations passes as those start.

My friend can basically lunge at closer range and his works pretty much all the time, unless he misses but mine sometimes completely ghosts while I am basically inside of someone or I will mellee them, they mellee me, I die and they are fine (and no, this isn't because I didn't doenoguh damage beforehand as most of the time I notice it doesn't even break their shield, and mellee always breaks shields, so long as they that connect, and i know they do because i hear the mellee sound connection)

Well, any shooter is going to struggle if you're getting even 1% packet loss. Although, Infinite does feel worse on higher ping, relative to other games. I'll give it that...

But from my experience with 0% packet loss and low jitter, I've never had weapons, projectiles or other elements disappear. I have had Gravity Hammer registration issues, that's all. So maybe you're unlucky, I don't know.

But that's why I'd try and rule out your own connection first.

It seems consistent with packet loss, your second clip has a sustained period in which it looks you're not sending or receiving any data from the servers at all. But the game isn't displaying the unstable network error so I've no clue. If you're testing your line and you've 0% packet loss alongside low jitter, then we can more confidently say it's the game.
