Same as weapons in other fiction. In 40k, lasguns either tickle and do no real damage or they blow holes that instantly kill, removing limbs and torso sections on impact.

In Battletech, autocannons either cave in armor and can silence smaller mechs in one salvo or just savage plates and nothing more.

During the Sanghelios level in halo 5, we see an elite actively refusing medical treatment as he believes he should continue fighting with his wounds, and Jul M'Dama's Covenant make use of energy swords that cauterise a wound, with any honourable Sangheili choosing to end themselves than get the wound treated. They're transitioning out of the old ways of honour for more standard methods of medical treatment

"the MCC ban thing" is a failing system - needs to be reworked to where every individual quit isnt punished (or at the very least modified to include AFK activitity in some way). Since you cant get banned for AFKing but you can for quitting they've incentivized simply AFKing which is arguably worse.

Rejoining is a good system - particularly for ranked - and when the game crashes so often. Join-in-progress I can see arguments on either side.

MCC has an AFK community. That's all you need to know about that system and its failures lol

so all they need to do is shorten the afk counter and punish them as well

An example of a replacement system would be to keep the progressively increasing ban punishments (5 min / 15 min / 30 min etc) but scale it to serial quitters (people who show a behavior of qutting games over a longer period). This is already somewhat considered today since your ban lengths reset after 24hrs.

If you quit one game a week I probably dont care.
If you quit one game a day maybe it starts to matter.
If you quit a game every single day for a week+ then I do care.

The scale would need to be refined, but considering MCC still throws fatal errors pretty consistently, banning a player for every crash/perceived quit doesnt make sense.

TLDR: Dont ban individual quits, ban the behavior of quitting. You can take the current "Quit Ban" system and slide it over to AFK players, adjusting for human behavior - or even easier simply d/c for AFKing too long w/ the option to rejoin. AFK for a game where you never moved/spun in a circle/etc - 5 minute ban, increase on repeats.

Obviously no system is perfect and this topic was beaten to death on Waypoint for years. But saying you want the MCC system in Infinite seems off imo

Came here to deliver this message: Prey : Mooncrash, A DLC for Prey (2017) made by Arkane Austin, is 100 times better than Deathloop and a real rogue-like game unlike Deathloop which is a mediocre linear ability shooter, with decent visuals. In Prey : Mooncrash you actually have a lot of choices as to how you want to finish the game, everything is very dynamic, you have 5 different characters in a simulation with their own stories that interacts with the other characters, you also have to use other characters to progress an another character, you have to think, plan and execute all in your own way. As someone who bought Deathloop before it hit game pass, please try Prey : Mooncrash, you will be blown away.

I haven't played the Halo Infinite campaign since it launched (only put in a few hours) and never got to finish it, despite being a diehard fan of the series. I've just been way too busy over the last couple of years to play video games.

I recently bought it on sale, and bought an ultrawide 32:9 monitor and my god.... i was blown away by how good it looked on this thing.

The ultrawide support for this game is bonkers. It genuinely felt so good flying through the first couple of missions and seeing it like this. KUDOS!

Question: how close are we to a multiplayer option for the campaign? Because i actually think it's the best part about this game, considering how butchered the multiplayer is in OCE
