I got back into halo infinite a couple weeks back, had a pretty good time, had a lot of issues as well. Biggest issue was the store. As someone who finds customization as a major part of the fun, halo infinites store goes against everything I stand for and they have just doubled down on it. With a reason that is less than respectful. It is downright disgusting. I know I'm screaming into the void but I quit once more. And I don't think I'm coming back this time, seeing how they treat their consumer. Decisions like this just remind me that no matter what changes occur, 343i and Microsoft will always have one end goal. No matter the cost. Fun while it lasted. See ya halo.

i think about that sometimes. i believe when a company is small enough and perhaps poor, most of the work is passion. like the beginnings of bungie for example you can see in videos. u see the people there working on halo 1 and 2 and it's a bunch of nerds sweating, maybe long obsessive hours of work, and trying to make a game that's fun and they enjoy and hope others do. but then there are places with weird suits people in higher level manager and overseeing office positions where there is pressure for things like monetization, money, cost, muhney muhney battlepasses. in lucky situations some passion creates a diamond of success and gaming then wolves see it and try to dominate it for profit sometimes overlooking those who discovered it

They used to be max 15, now they are 12 but allow having a name that's already registered using Discord's (unfortunately) old system of 4 numbers as discriminators. However, since games weren't going to be retroactively compatible with this feature, the four numbers take up the four characters that were removed.
