Even I's. That ridiculous plot point got retconned ASAP into Johnson merely having an edge over his comrades due to his Spartan I implants.

Chief almost got infected in the events of Halo CE, and several pieces of equipment are designed to save the Spartan from being infected in the first place or, failing that, destroying/vaporizing the Spartan's brain so the Flood cannot gather intel.

Amusingly, this Flood Containment team in question for Halo Infinite seems to have, stupidly, gone in with non specialized Mark Vb armor lacking these failsafes, instead of taking the reasonable option of Osteo or Hivemind or any other dedicated counter-flood armor.

It's more like the EU or US with a more stable and manageable structure in many ways, but with issues regarding how it handles member planets, which was why the Insurrection happened. The way the UEG handled the Insurrectionists was heavy handed enough to generate generations of reprisals, but the actual UEG itself is not actually all that bad. It's more runaway segments of the CMA and UNSC that seem to cause these issues.

Hate is a strong word. Dislike would be more accurate. Some of the more radical ones, like Telcam despise humanity, seeing them as “lying vermin who cheat and steal at every chance.” Which is funny because his order of zealots isn’t much better.
