Have you tried running a vent stick through it and see if you hit something solid?

Try playing music into the vent and go outside and see where you hear it.

Do you have a landlord/property manager or something? As I would be getting it resolved with either them or the relator through property inspection/title coverage as it should have never passed an inspection for sale if it got covered.

It passed inspection 10 years ago when we bought it with that as an astrik. We own it so it's our responsibility. My in-laws had installed an extra lint catcher in the back to help prevent any build up but lately it's been taking longer to dry things and gnawing in the back of my mind.
So we got a periscope thing I'm trying to run it through but get stuck every now and then because the walls of the vents are all that accordion stuff. But I borrowed my mom's shop vac and somehow that's helped. I think I'm making progress little by little. I'm going to solve this mystery before I burn down my house

That is what me and my dad did recently to put in a new outdoor water pipe. Everyone quoted us $700-1000 and we just got a door to cover the cut through the drywall on the inside to make it so if it ever needs changed again we wouldnt have this issue as they connect inside the drywall so we cant change the spigot without doing it from the inside. Took an hour to cut the drywall and put the pre-made door up after we changed it. So yeah, go tapping around outside where it should be (and seriously play music it'll make it easier) and just cut it out. Since it's stucco back there, patching it is easy. I've repaired minor cracks and stuff over the years and I am a complete knob lol
