TL:DR Probably wont matter MCC issues still unresolved. So many games players quit, go afk, or betray. 343 halo's kind went of the rails. Change is sometimes not needed like CSGO has been tweaked but core gameplay mechanic are the same and now its more popular than ever.

No veto system that H2, H3, Reach, and H4 had to vote out the crappy game types that no one wants to play. Come on veto has been in since Halo 2, why would the devs get rid of it. Also available maps for different game types like vahalla for TS or snipes like never happens for one example. Or no more 3v3s as an option when 4v4 cant be found.
Where are the Pre and post game lobbies?
Did the devs ever play the original trilogy multiplayer? Hearing the pre and post chat is one of the best parts of playing online
Why are pretty much all the ranked playlists hardcore and the ranks reset whenever there's a change.
Grind to 50 through poor skill based matchmaking, nope we're updating the game and resetting
And how you not match players with similar rankings in RANKED like every other competitive FPS out there especially when prior halo games did it so well

Passive skill and team based matchmaking, who wants to play against a team of 4 and have 3 clueless players on your team
Why keep bloom in Reach and why isn't there a Zero Bloom social playlist
Random unintended changes like players spawning near you or next to you, uneven weapon timing in some games (one team's power weapon spawns faster than the other team)
Throwing all this cosmetic stuff instead of fixing core issues. Give us a million skins but cant add a veto system
New maps, which where really not needed, have bad performance significant fps drop on not as new hardware

The problem with how it is right now is all it does is create a headache for people who are just trying to play. If you want to have skill based matchmaking, then create a ranked playlist like we have. Social playlists should not match make based on skill, but should match make only based on connection. I can’t tell you how many matches I get in my connection is an issue because it’s trying to place me at a 50% win rate so I don’t step on the little guy.

I once came up with an idea of how a Star Wars x Halo crossover would start. It would open right at the end of H3 when Chief went through the portal only for it to transport him into the Star Wars universe. And after spending some time drifting through unknown space he’s eventually discovered by Republic clone troopers who board the dawn.
