I've seen it work against me and for me. I've tanked fusion coils straight to the head and survived, no overshields, and also have seen others tank mine.

the new FPS counter on console shows why the UI has never really felt smooth. Has fluctuating fps on both 60 and 120fps
odd they wouldn't just turn down the render resolution in menu
and cap to 60 in 120 mode if hitting 120fps would require too low resolution
in 120fps mode the framerate never drops below 90 so it can definitely hold 60fps with decent quality visuals
but in 60fps mode, the fps is around 50, so really just needs the resolution reduced to hold 60

I have no physics knowledge, but just guessing that Death Trooper would win at mid to close range since their rounds penetrate armor while ODSTs use kinetic rounds that need to get through the Death Trooper's armor first. But at long range, ODST would win because it seems that they can select long range weapons whereas I've only seen Death Troopers carry that same blaster everywhere.
This would be a good matchup for Deadliest Warrior. And DW also showed how matchups can change when you add a team element: 5v5 would produce outcomes different than what 1v1 would have.
Although the game itself does say that ODSTs "always drop with lean gear".

Some people have figured it out, and Spartan IVs (adults augmented into being Spartans) apparently know about it more often than they don't, but the former are usually killed or removed from the public eye and the latter are usually quiet due to OPSEC, but really don't like it.

Actually Odst. Odst armour can take a few plasma hits. Which are more powerful than blaster bolts. It’s not like Star Wars has a particular or impressive resistance to kinetic weaponry.
