When I first moved back to the states I had sounded like I'd spent the first ten years of my life in another country which wasn't an issue till I moved to off base schooling. So I worked very hard to not have an accent and I've done what I can to not pick up one of the regional ones from everywhere i've lived since. Here's the thing though: for someone that complains about Infinite's networking a lot, why not just connect it via ethernet or heck, even powerline adapters? I guarantee the packet loss related issues you experience would disappear.

on the user's end, you can help reduce packet loss by using a ethernet connection instead of wifi, and by limiting traffic on your network (reduce number of devices connected at once, close any high-bandwidth apps in the background, etc)

Salvation should be gotten rid of. Here's why:

1. The map has a lot of falls that put the offense in a bad position.

2. Getting the rockets is far too equal considering that the opposing team is at a HUGE disadvantage.

3. The reason they're at a disadvantage is cause there are only 2 ways up to the spot you need to go with few alternatives. You can get a hookshot, but it'd be not much different from going through that portal since that's the only other location that needs to be focused on.

4. The map is disorientating in general. And there's no fun to be had on it. You want to make a map that's not just symmetrical? There are far smarter ways to approach it.

5. The defensive side is just as annoying. You camp in one area. Wow. Congrats. Fun. And it works out for said time most of the time. Even if you throw grenades into that location as the offensive team, it's not like you're at much of an advantage considering your two entrances.

6. Again, you have to mind your step and it gets annoying considering how one sided it is. Even if it wasn't; that's obnoxious and just anti-fun on almost an objective level.

finally got around to playing Infinite on my 2017 quad core mobile i5 and it makes me think the game isn't that far off being a very appealing mid-spec esports shooter if they just nailed optimisations. like if the game was just stable and a little less GPU intensive, and had kbm aim friction at launch, probably have a much bigger PC audience rn

it doesnt even really have low graphics options which i think is a mistake

but on the CPU side it really isn't very hard to run as off S3. idk what it was like at launch but this 3.9Ghz quad core can easily hit over 100fps

no idea how i hit so much higher FPS in Infinite MP then 2AMP or 4

they really just need graphics presets that mean you dont have to use resolution scaling on lower end GPUs at 1080p

i think it's best to just focus on your gameplay unless you can find a group

most people dont listen to callouts or understand them until onyx anyway

maybe mic up and give some key callouts but dont stress too much about it

that is super disappointing tbh. especially whewn people dont even mark. played ranked in 2 and 3 and seemed like at least one person was mic'd on team almost every game (usually 2). infinite feels like someone is maybe every 5 games at best.

never callout when the game becomes a clear L because you aren't competing against the other team at that point, you are competing with your team mates to take the lowest CSR loss

so you can hinder your CSR progression if you callout when your team mates arent and you lose the game anyway

Yeah the ranked system is kinda rough :/ I hit Onyx season 1 and then just never did the grind again

conversely if you choose not to callout most of the time, but keep your mic hooked up, you can start calling out in tight games to tip the game to a victory

you'll end up with a negative k/d if your giving team mates information and they arent giving you any
