Yes. It’s true. It’s apparently on their known issues list according to @frosty condor (hope it’s okay to tag you here).

They cannot search solo, they can search with other people on console or the steam version.

To be hyper specific, they can search in matchmaking but will never be paired with anyone. Ever. So, technically they can search but all by themselves forever alone.

I could be wrong, but the last I checked, you aren't able to buy Spartan Points. You can buy credits for the normal store, but the currency for the exchange can only be grinded via challenges or Operations. Though technically, if you want to count this, there are Spartan Points locked away in the longer 50 tier passes, which you would need to buy with credits that you get with real money.

My apologies. Apparently they did recently add Spartan points to the store.

I wouldn't get it though. The grind makes the haunted helmet more worth it, and there is no point in buying something you can get for free when you could use those credits to buy something that you can't normally get via earning.

Correct, from your clip. The lack of collision doesnt help, but Ive seen the same thing for over a decade in H3 on melees to the left shoulder. Wish it was a new problem, sometimes things just dont register. Feelsbad

Oh, and the infamous Scorpion gun hitreg issue that happened in 3 a lot. There's a pretty frequently used example of a guy on a decent network playing Halo 3 that was recorded with a capture card back in the day who basically had 6+ shots do nothing.

Halo's hitreg has been pretty spotty for years, but it gets exaggerated because you can't really trust people to have an objective perspective on where the issue lays-like how people don't understand how lag compensation, something that's been part of FPS games for literal decades, works, so they get incredibly angry when they get headcapped behind a wall, and will vehemently insist that this is a Halo-only issue despite being something that happens in pretty much every mainstream FPS.

The single least reliable piece of recording equipment is the human memory, despite what I say above about my recollection of Halo 3 melee.

The Scorpion projectile being affected by latency and melee not registering are two different things.
Also, most of the latency issues from back in the day were from spotty primitive Wi-Fi. Ethernet kings had much less issues.

The whole point is 343i managed to get melee "right" two games in row and somehow can't do it again, which is pathetic for a company with the backing of one of the most powerful corporation on Earth.

It is absolutely ridiculous that this has been allowed to happen for so long. Your only option to avoid this is to pray that the guy gets out the vehicle so you have a chance to blow it up, or if they get killed by the enemy.

Infinite was safer with arbiter because at least the biggest halo cheat maker was too lazy to get through it (MCC was on EAC and was their target). But when Infinite went to EAC it enabled more cheating. Everyone saw it coming but oh well

Fortnite has a problem with cheaters and they are pretty extreme with their anti cheat (they rotate between battleeye and EAC throughout the day).

The difference is enforcement. In Fortnite reports are all handled and cheaters are banned / hardware banned sometimes within minutes.

Also, looking at it from a practical/realistic perspective from what we know;

• Requiring check ups and tune-ups is kinda just a salient point to make if you want a return on your investment after stuffing a human to the gills with all sorts of non-original biomaterial and synthetic materials. You don't want your investment to burn out early and have their lungs explode or something, or have their DNA begin to unspool, or have their hormones go horribly out of whack. It's why I think it makes less sense for it to be only a IV thing, and more just a 'everyone does this and it kinda varies in necessity/issues'.

• IV augs are explicitly not 'baked in right' before they are sent to the field. The entire point of GEN2 Recruit, for example, is literally to ensure the Spartan IV's organs remain stable as they endure combat stress as a Spartan for the first times, and is eventually phased out to a more specific model of armor that better fits their tactical role. As IVs as a class are more fresh and new, they likely have to endure a lot more 'growing pains', combined with them not having real time to 'stretch their legs' so to speak-which is likely why a IV spends almost every second they aren't on mission, training in simulators or exercising.

• The inherent negative bias fans have towards Spartan IVs for one reason or another tends to lead them to figure any open-ended or unanswered response about them is going to be the worst version possible. Such as Tune ups.
