Hi! I have a quick question, I'm replaying all the Halo MCC games and I'm currently completing the H3: ODST campaign by choosing missions one by one from the menu instead of going through Mombassa Streets. Now, I see that by completing all the missions, I still have Mombassa Streets not unlocked in legendary difficulty. Do I really have to replay all the missions but in free roam version to simply complete the Mombassa Streets mission?!
It’s such a good visor. A nice, clean, untextured black. I slapped that on my Mirage Core with Void Ultra coating. 10/10
If you're doing a full playthrough of the game on legendary, it's better to do it via the normal means than selecting each mission in the menus. I know there is a playlist which is just Mombasa Streets, but I don't think it's on legendary
So I really have to replay the whole game but going through the Mombassa Streets mission and collecting all the items like the "normal" way to do it?

Are you sure that once all the missions are done, if I go back to Mombasa Streets and touch the Team objects, it might not unlock?
Halo Games Ranked:
- Halo 3 (gameplay is awesome, especially that warthog ride through the collapsing installation at the end)
- Halo 2 (it was just right)
- Halo 1 (it was just right)
- Halo 4 (personal favorite but I don't want to get bashed for putting it above the original trilogy so I'm leaving it at 2nd place, also best story in the series)
- Halo 5 (I wanted to play as master chief not locke, also butchers 4's story)
- Halo 6 (so overrated, I'd take 5 over 6 any day of the week)

Controversial take but Halo 3 is my least favourite out of the original trilogy
My memory of it as a kid at least was just an overly large number of flood levels and not a lot of big open spaces, I was very disappointed with it
My personal extremely controversial ranking solely based off the amount of fun I’ve had with each game:
- Halo 1
- Halo 5
- Halo 4
- Halo Infinite
- Halo 2
- Halo 3
High rank on 5 is always respectable. Shows you know your taste. I only played a little multiplayer but it was pretty cool IMO
This is incredibly accurate to how I feel. (Though Halo 2 is my bottom tier) Halo 3 is great, but for me it’s carried more by nostalgia than anything else

It wasn’t flawless but it was more reinventive than any other game in the franchise, the ability to use scopes for every gun made a bigger skill gap which made competitive more fun, the gunplay was excellent and the new modes were fun. Warzone was incredible and having a break from Chief in the campaign was refreshing because having solely him and Cortana every time was getting exhausting.
I didn’t include it because I consider it more of a spinoff than a mainline game. I don’t like the campaign particularly, all of the characters fall flat to me but it has some of the best MP maps in the series IMO.
I like this person.
Halo 5 isn’t too bad imo, I feel like the reason why a lot of people dislike it is due to the execution of the campaign, rec packs and armor designs
I will say this, even despite the flaws it’s weapon sandbox was incredible
Gameplay wise it is fun, its just that its got a whole stacked against it like what you mentioned

a lot. to give credit where its due, a lot was fixed so its possible that whatever issue that guy had isnt a problem anymore
my biggest gripe, not just with 2 but a few games in MCC, is the increased tick rate which makes the games noticeably harder than the original versions
I feel like if Kojima directed a Halo, it'd be somewhere other than Sanghelios

Back in Feb they increased projectile speeds to account for the tick rate difference. Made a noticeable difference imo
There are still a ton of issues for H2 (well, all of MCC really) published in their Known Issues list. But they dont talk about any roadmap for anything, so safe to say they will never get fixed without some serious intervention.

Only bad halo game in my opinion was Spartan assault and Spartan strike, whatever the names were but the weird 2 games that felt like Diablo

What’s up with the spawns on Infinite? I’ve lost KOTH three times today, the only mode I’m losing, because the enemy team is spawning ON TOP OF THE HILL, and then spawning my team ALL THE WAY ACROSS?’z

tbh spawns are just bad in halo and have never got better
they should be better but i think the parameters are just pretty minimal
and spawn locations just never make much sense to me. you either spawn in the open, or you spawn really close to the enemy but enclosed

It’s a spawn issue. We killed them and before we could even get shields back, they spawned the room beside the hill, then spawned us all the way in the back corner
I hate it when u spawn in btb or 8v8 and u immediately die to the one kid who has 100% sniper accuracy from across the map just targets u
Just don't play btb, play firefight or any modes that you wants
They're pretty solid twinsticks, nothing really wrong with them. Cheap too.

Its a shame its model is just a reskin of the assault rifle but its still really fun to use
Yeah, gameplay is on point. But there are a few issues with its model beyond just ripping the AR. It's too long, and because its so long it is easy to mistake for a BR when its on the ground. When it wasn't BR starts that managed to waste my time on a few occasions.
I'm aware of the issues, but just wondering if they meant something recent.

Ive already played the first 3 games a lot throughout my life- i got ce and 2 on my og xbox as an kid and 3 for christmas in 2011 along with my xbox 360. Im new to the master chief collection's system though.
So fkr the next halo game what would you want the default armor for MP to be,
For me I kinda hope qe get Aomething resembling or just give us, the Halo Infinite campaign armor.
I liked it and would prefer that as the standard armor for all the Spartans.
I favor towards the Mark V and VI, at least design wise- Halo 3's take on the Mark VI to be specific.
But I also never played Infinite before so I cant input my take on that game's campaign armor.
Not sure which one that is.

Honestly though for the mostnpsrt halo studios or Formerly 344 has sort of burned out all its good will with me. So I won't really be pre ordering the games. If it's free on ganepass I'll probably take a look at it, but I'm very cautious moving forward with whatever they show us and how that compares to what they deliver
I dont even know what Halo game we could get after Infinite. Im all for a proper anniversary remake of Halo CE- since the 2011 version was so bad (using a set of models for the unsc marines and covenant that didnt make sense in the timeline as of September 2552) and MCC at least gave us the OG sound effects when using the classic mode- but other than that, idk whats coming up
im hoping they continue Infinite's plot
i actually like all of 343's games, but my biggest complaint across all 3 was that they seem to abandon every story thread they start without ever resolving anything

and granted, bungie also had a terrible habit of setting up stakes and then never delivering on them, but at least the broader story went somewhere

i dont have an xbox one or series x, my reason being halo's about the only game series id buy them for cuz everything else i already have on PC.
And i never looked up the story for 5 and infinite since me playing halo 4 back in 2012.
that and my views on 343 and Microsoft has soured a lot back in high school when i started looking up what they were doing to the community with 5, infinite, and when MCC first came onto PC :/ so i never looked up 5 and infinite's story
well, hope i didnt spoil anything.. unless you want story spoilers then i can give you a brief recap of the story so far
Ehhh sure- until 5 gets on steam i have no way of playing that, and i dont wanna spend more money today than i did with MCC, so no infinite campaign for me either .
Most of my knowledge of halo story- in the games, i know a few things we know outside the games as of 2011 or so, and what we got in 2a's terminals- are from Ce, 2, 3, reach, and a little bit of 4 from what i remember
ah.. well just to refresh your memory. halo 4 of course ends with cortana sacrificing herself to kill didact and save the world, then the story continues six months later in Spartan Ops, where we are officially introduced to Jul Mdama the leader of the new covenant and our big bad guy now that didact is out of the picture (also jul is the one who destroyed requiem, not cortana but thats not important)
following that ending, a comic book reveals that didact survived. but he dies at the end of that comic so... i dont know why they bothered (also he technically even survived that but i havent read the new book that explains how he survived again)
Ohh right, the elites and such we fought in Halo 4 were from what's still functioning within the Covenant after Halo 3, some parts of the Covenant were still struggling to keep the system enforced after the death of the prophets and most of the elites allying with the humans .3.
yeah correct! anyways, halo 5 :)
first mission we kill jul mdama and the new covenant shatters
so we get a new big bad villain in mission 2. cortana is back to life and she wants to become a super dictator and take control of the entire galaxy using forerunner machines to enforce her will
the game ends with her winning, almost every human AI joins her in an event known as the Created Uprising, robots control the galaxy and anyone who defies her rules will die

One, i thought she deterioated for good in Halo 4 because AIs deterioate and die after seven years or so
She was built to be loyal to the UNSC, so now she's completely against humanity now? Even Chief? |:/
newer material explains it pretty well, but it was a bit of a stretch back then. the justification is that AI deteriorate because they have limited storage space, and after accumulating too much knowledge its too much for them to bear and they collapse under the weight of their own knowledge... buuuut before cortana died on the didacts ship, she connected to a forerunner information storage center called The Domain, where she can stave off rampancy by dumping excess info for free
Huhhhh... well that explains her being alive, thank god
But her sudden betrayal to the Master Chief and the UNSC entirely? Humanity, at that?
newer stuff explained that the fragment of cortana that survived was one of her rampant splinters, so she was crazy from the start. the REAL cortana still died. you know all those times she freaked out in halo 4 and started threatening us? it was one of those pieces of her that lived in the domain

Well that at least made me sorta happy we're just dealing with a false, malfunctioning part of Cortana in 5 and beyond

we get a new AI named The Weapon which is a clone of cortana, but slightly different. a bit younger and more naive
They tried to course correct by completely ignoring halo 5s story but they still needed to get cortana out of the way

We did get an AI sorta like that in Halo The Flood- though with an personality of some old british dead guy, but this.... I guess this is cool lol
yeah the new big bad is The Banished, they're technically another splinter faction of the covenant. they are rebels from the original covenant led by brutes, so the whole time the covenant was trying to kill us they were also fighting the Banished
I genuinely thought cortana dying in infinite was going to be a fake out until the game ended
and they release something called The Endless but i dont know much about them, Infinite doesn't really go into detail with them. i hope they get elaborated on in the next game, thats what im hoping for
Oh THOSE were the guys i saw in the halo wars 2 DLC cutscenes a few years back, i do know about that at least
I always assumed those Brutes were formed to make up a new leader as the Chieftan of the Brutes, since Tarturus died in Halo 2
YEA, when Weapon showed up and went "huh weird i deleted cortana but then i was supposed to self destruct, some reason i didnt???? super weird" i thought that cortana killed weapon, and now cortana was pretending to be her so she could keep an eye on us
but yeah, the deal is that Banished are old rebels and pirates who were fighting the covenant, and now theyre fighting us. infinite ends with us demolishing the local banished force (but more are still out there) but not before the banished free The Endless... but we dont know what that is and im desperately praying the Halo Studios will actually let this story breathe
because its so frustrating how every story has either ended off screen or in the very first mission of the next game

yes, story wise the UNSC obviously were smart enough to avoid more Halo installations if need be- save for Infinite- so the Flood never had a chance to come back

The flood in Combat Evolved, and especially both 2 and 3 with 05's own Flood, were soo coolllllll
im kinda glad the flood havent come back! i think that halo 3 had a beautiful ending, and chief put it very well: "its finished."
i like that 343 went in a new direction and gave us new enemies instead of just doing the same exact story we already had
i just wish that those stories had satisfying endings like 3 did
Huh thats true! I guess i never thought of it that way o3o the flood are done, and TECHNICALLY the flood that spawned from Installation 05 are super done- which thank god given the state of that ring was so bad they actually formed a GraveMind- so i suppose this justifies it.
Yeah im sorry for the comment, i grew up with the first three games, as late as I was to getting Ce through 3, and both reach and 4 are the only post 2010 games i own.

The introduction of the Promethians in Halo 4 definetly scared me as much as the Flood did when i got halo 4 on launch.
Something about the big dude's face opening up to reveal its skull is just... really haunting

i really liked fighting them in halo 5! the knights were replaced by a smaller enemy called the soldier, and knights got buffed into miniboss encounters similar to the covenant hunters

and i loved the rebalance for promethean weapons in 5 as well, all their weapons had slower projectiles, but they came with HEAVY tracking, so it was basically impossible to miss and you could shoot them around corners and stuff

where was THAT in halo 4
I used to use the rifle the knight had and that shorter one that was like an assault rifle, but the KNight's rifle was such an pain to use
oh that reminds me, the promethean sniper got changed as well! instead of a single shot that insta-killed enemies, it became a beam weapon similar to the sentinel beam! but instead of holding the beam down for 10 seconds, it only lasted about 1 second, and you had to keep it trained on the enemy for the full duration if you wanted a kill

i liked it because i thought the binary rifle was very frustrating to fight in halo 4, because people could just find a really awkward angle and one-shot you in the ankle where you cant really fight back... it becoming a beam made it harder to use but also less frustrating to die against
theres a youtuber called Aozolai who had really really good videos about all the weapons in halo 5! usually the first 5 minutes were kinda boring because it was just going over statistics, but the videos always ended with about 3 minutes of multiplayer gameplay so you could see how they performed, i recommend checking it out if you wanna see what 5's multiplayer was like

Hello does any1 have a fix/tips for the halo 2 laso playlist, pretty much each time i save and quit when i die,i have a chance of having the game crash during the loading screen which would reset the whole mission ? The only solution i can see is doing coop but i'd prefer solo that's why i'm asking for some help pls

They could make a "remake" with a terrible launch that they fix years later or make a totally new game with a terrible launch that they fix years later

I used to say they could take the H3 campaign and go nuts - take all the funding and roll it into resolving issues with MCC, but leave the H3 multiplayer alone because that would be a disaster.
Then I realized funding has never been the issue and they would probably create dances for the victory screen before they fix the game breaking bugs that exist.
So now Im less enthused.
Well at least modders are doing it.

And UE has been used ever since it was added to facilitate the menus in MCC
So the idea they would never use it ever doesn't work with that fact being there

I don't think you really want to understand that there's a difference between a company moving to a different game engine and an old game not being remastered
Like, you're acting like there were these statements that were made about how Halo would never swap game engines until they suddenly announced they were moving to UE5

The engine was called Slipspace, not Splitspace. And yes, after how much trouble 343 was having due to contractors not getting enough time to learn the engine before moving on, I can buy an engine move happening
My point is that your reasoning doesn't make sense. Just because I want something to happen doesn't mean it will. The same is true for everything
I think halo is moving away from slipspace just because of the complexity and issues they had while developing it. Moving to unreal makes sense as way more developers are familiar with the engine and they are currently looking for new developers.
They've taken a big loss with the engine and Infinite so they probably wanna just start fresh and play it safe with Unreal so they can devote their focus entirely on game development instead of making/fixing a new engine.
There's a difference between being unable to fix and not having enough time to learn something

But HS face an uphill battle to bring them back. The sad truth is that people turned them off - for whatever reason (eg. playing Ranked) - and weren't bothered enough to turn them back on.
At the very least they need to be auto-disabled in Ranked play.

the REQs werent als half bad, they were more fun
warzone felt more like it was garnered towards casual players
I pray that theyll add customizable assassinations like they did back in 5 in the next installment
warzone was awesome for the first like.. 2 weeks. but then 343 introduced Spartan Companies to waypoint where you could unlock the achilles armor by getting something insane like 10,000 kills in a Company, and suddenly the playlist was overrun with 12-stacks who would just spawn camp you for 30 minutes
i thought the achilles armor was unlocked through having 100 members
same thing ruined husky raid in infinite, the grind to hero made people want to play as unsporting as possible just so they could have nice armor
no, you just had to get all the company commendations done
which was even harder with less members
i feel like if 5's artstyle was infinte, and just a better campaign the game wouldve been really really good

I'm not good at stealth on Halo 5, but I can say that assassination were really good on Reach and Halo 4
I hope the next installment will feature atleast customizable assassinations, and a bunch of other stuff the community asked for
i had the supernova assassination in 5, because throwing people around was my favourite thing to do
my favorite assassinations were the ones where your enemy tried fighting back! i loved the sense that even if you got them, there was still a fight happening

neat things they also added is that the energy sword and grav hammer had custom assassinations too
i hope that they'll add that for other weapons, like the magnum or sidekick, hope they add both in the next game tho

kinda like the rocket lock in halo 2, needing to get red reticle on a target before holding the trigger to begin locking.. the laser wont charge unless you have red reticle on a vehicle, that way it stays as a powerful anti-vehicle weapon that one-shots but people cant avoid the drawback of a long charge time by pointing it at a rock until its ready to fire
you need to expose yourself and track your target for the full 3 seconds if you want the power to instakill, and the laser beam on the vehicle will tell them they're being targeted

It's probably the definition of casual (SMG) vs competitive (BR) play style.
In a recent video Lucid suggested the BR needed to be a bit less accurate at distance and have a small reduction in aim assist.
Sometimes it feels more like a DMR than a BR.
Idk if BR needs any fixes just dont have it be a starter in a game mode heavily built around a weapon that cant outdo it most scenarios

i'll take assassinations in any form, but i hope that if they do come back that they expand on the customization offered in halo 5
in reach, 4, and maybe 5, you would get a different set of animations depending on if you approached from the right, left, or straight behind (and obviously unique ones for jumping) so it'd be cool if we could choose up to 3 animations that play from different angles

same reason people got upset when the SPNKR got replaced by a normal tube bazooka when 5 launched. its functionally identical, but a double barrel rocket launcher is just cooler
I would like assassinations back. They're fun for those that like them, and optional for those that don't. Easy way for them to get pretty fair monetization too.

I wouldn't say the assassinations are functionally identical to backsmacks. They accomplish the same thing of killing from behind, but assassinations are also a big flex that you don't really get with the backsmack because there's an animation going on.
They talked about assassinations way back for Infinite. It was almost certainly just a feature they didn't have the proper time to fully flesh out.
I'd bet good money they had all the same thoughts and conversations about this on the dev teams, just didn't have the room to work on it amongst all the other stuff they need to work on.

i made a comment the other day about this but it got buried by other convos, do you think the spartan laser could be a good addition to the sandbox if it required a red reticle to charge up and fire?
its annoying because it instakills vehicles which hurts btb a lot, and the drawback of the laser pointer is easy to avoid by just pointing it at a rock while it charges, which also means you can stay in cover during the charge up so its 2 main sources of balance kinda dont work
but if you were required to have a red reticle, that means you need to be out in the open and properly tracking enemy vehicles, no hiding and no instant death
Like you have to maintain red reticle at all times to be able to charge it? What happens if your target moves out of red reticle range or your view gets obstructed?
ideally it would have a long range reticle (like the sniper) but yeah, if the target moves behind a wall or if you fail to keep the target focused it would fail to fire
that said, it would probably need some degree of forgiveness, maybe something like the rocket lock on, where you can be off target for a second before losing lock
If Infinite had the same excellent vehicle game play as Halo 5 then for sure the Spartan laser would be welcome. But vehicle game play in infinite is plain awful with too many cluttered maps and weak vehicles… I miss the days of the gauss hog and a ghost that was actually fun to drive…. Sadly, No need for a spartan laser at this late stage of infinite’s life.

In Infinite, every Ultimate challenge is 5k (combined) personal score now iirc, and its just for 1k SP (Spartan Points) which can be used to buy any of the old event/promo items from the Exchange (that have been re-released so far anyway, since not everything has been)

I totally agree with that. I have the entire original Halo Trilogy and I still think Halo 3 is the best out of all of them.
Compared to the other trilogy games, Halo 3 has some of the most entertaining and polished levels
Theres so much level of detail and nuance to them which alot of other later games don't have
The story isn't anything special compared to H2, but the in game story and world building just makes the game alot more enjoyable than 2

Literally most of the time you faced these guys, you would rather be using a precision weapon
Then 4 had the audacity to bring back the gondola ride
EVEN WORSE NOW, this thing stopped multiple times for you to take down enemies. THEN YOU DID THE SAME THING AGAIN

i feel like i am not bad but i keep dying to elites
and i also feel like its pointless to take anything other than dmr/magnum/needle rifle and a plasma pistol. when i have anything else they just kill me idk. even if i have perfect tracking and good dodging i lose if i have anything but that combo and barely scrape by with a plasma repeater or rifle
i am on firefight btw, and have done all campaigns on heroic

erm mostly just in general but im playing legendary firefight right now
ie if i take a focus rifle and an elite rushes me, i die. if i am holding a fuel rod or something and intent to save it for a hunter or vehicle, i either use it on the elite or i die
and this is on unearthed, which seems to be one of the most forgiving firefight maps
im too afraid to properly get stuck in on smaller maps like courtyard 😢
best to just stick with teammates during the elite round or shoot them from afar. I only play arcade versions which has unlimited lives and ammo as well as starting with better weapons so it's not a big deal if I die.

If it's a custom game, then just turn your health up in the spartan base trait settings. doing it solo will always yield deaths cause you'll get overwhelmed.

Depending on the game, you should have plenty of options in close quarters
but they usually kill me by shooting. i dont tend to melee unless necessary

I recommend you also try to keep distance between yourself and a rushing Elite, but keep an eye on their movement as you do
eh lone wolf is supposed to be a place you die, they eventually swarm you with aoe and snipers. i find firefight a good place to practice!
doing the dodge and backsmack is how you get the 250k achievement in lone wolf.

I've been trying to get my buddy to play halo for years and he has finally agreed to try it, but he said if he's not feeling it in the first hour he's out.
He doesn't care about story so we can start with any halo I've personally only completed halo 3 and reach so I was thinking about one of those, what do you guys think?

h3 would be easier to figure out cause you don't have armor abilities or have to deal with bloom. downside would be leading shots and possibly running into more sweats.

assassinations as a mechanic to me have always sort of highlighted one of the key differences between bungie and 343. for bungie they were just fun little animations you could optionally trigger for nothing but style points. for 343, theyre either gimmicks to be sold or so useless as to not be considered if they cant make money and serve no competitive value

It's an optional mechanic that be avoided just by not holding the melee button
im not saying assasinations are bad haha. im moreso just saying they used to be there for fun, and under 343 they were milked for cash, and simply removed when they no longer could be sold

it's the same as other halos. just overcharge plasma pistol brutes, then headshot them. weaker enemies just need a headshot.

Recently replayed Reach's campaign, to me its still one of, if not the most well written story of the franchise, closely followed by Halo 2. The soundtrack is amazing, and personally i believe the darker tone and art direction fits Halo like a glove. I do agree with the statement that we don't really get to know Noble team that much, or that they didn't get too much development, but personally i don't think that matters, as its been said countless times before, its a story about the planet, meant to setup Halo CE. Multiplayer is less grounded with armor abilities, even if they can get quite annoying, and rather broken at times, they can be quite a lot of fun imo.
That's my little rant over, i'd like to know what you guys think of the campaign
I've also been reading The Fall of Reach so it's nice having both sides of the story.
"It's a story about the planet' is mostly a cope when it's very, very bad at telling the story of how the planet fell. It tells the narrow perspective of a single special forces team who is second contact on the planet.
It's a story about Noble Team, who happen to be on Reach. If it were a story about Reach, the planet, the perspective would be more heavily focused on the issues the planet itself suffers from during the attack; Not the exploits and character interactions of the team that happens to be on Reach.
You would think a battle on Reach would have more than two city levels set in the same city and call it a day. This is a planet with SMAC guns, an entire major fleet, a knock-down drag-out naval and ground battle; To reduce it to a series of what amounts to skirmishes in a backwater region of the planet reduces the impact.
Every single aspect of a story matters in how you tell it. Noble being wooden is something that actively drags the story down and thus matters.

I can see that, though i disagree, honestly. Ultimately the main thing it wants to tell us is how Reach fell, mostly through the perspective of Noble Team. Just because its a story about a setting, doesn't mean it can't be following certain characters. The main focus is still the planet
If they wanted to tell a story about Noble Team, i'd imagine they would focus on prior missions, not when everyone dies, right?

Probably Noble Six, the other characters have neat personalities but i like how he interacts with the rest of the team

yeah a lot of enhancements were made to halo 3 and it was really pushing it 😥
Larger battles would've really enhanced the game, but at least it makes up for spectacle in other areas
modern halo has a T rating and I clarified in a later post that I meant too graphic or gorey.

well based on their games, I doubt they're going to start making assassinations where you rip the arms off your victim and then beat them over the head with the arms for example so they're going to be more limited with the creativity. that's why I mentioned the T rating.

You can choose to not have the multiplayer, gotta go into the settings and make sure you select just the campaigns

I doubt variety is a problem, Halo 5 had lots of assassinations. If you're creative enough, you can come up with a whole bunch of assassinations, having a T rating doesn't limit them that much.
The problem with assassinations is that they weren't fun to be on the receiving end of and they were easy to steal

the only issue with assassinations was the inability to prevent them. i couldnt reliably back smack in reach and it seems impossible in 4
after the toggle was added in 5 i dont see any downside really

I know the idea was that you tap for a back smack, hold for an assassination, but I think the window for it to count as a tap vs holding was really short

minor complaint but why is the default keyboard config for MCC so bad? why not use the old config from the vista ports? when I play an FPS game on pc, I expect the melee to be F not the grenade and why not bind grenade to right click and zoom to middle click?

In halo 3 in the final mission you see the ark portal in the last cutscene that leads back to earth. On the ark and on the covenant, why isnt that portal in the air?

You just need to be able to VC with everyone in customs but not matchmaking
Text chat in MCC is decent since you can just choose on the fly who you want to be able to see a message
Disabling cross-team communication for matchmaking is fine but it should be possible to enable this even if the setting would only affect customs

the precision pickup dominance ruined Infinite as a Halo game for me. then 10x worse in delta arena where you have a SMG rather then an AR+pistol

you gotta spawn with something that can shoot back, Reach for all its issues had a pistol that could take on a DMR
i would be very open to just removing 90% of preicison weapons from maps and treating them like power weapons tho

they're not on power weapon pads, they're just all over the maps
so you can get a BR... until you get respawned.

i do understand why they did sidekick starts and dont want everyone beaming across the maps for Infinite. I just dont think it works when they toss BRs all over the map to pickup

and now we got it and its kinda just unfun because people now just get beamed by the guy in the back on the other side of the map
it was unfun for me when i had weak team mates and i got respawned with just an SMG and immediately beamed by players who had picked up BRs
personally i'd rather spawn with the BR even if it makes those long range encouters more common because i always have a chance off spawn

With all due respect, you don't have the ' No Pings ' role, so if you're annoyed by it, get the role so others don't ping you. And yes, it can't be turned off in MCC but you can in Halo 5 and there might've been an option in Reach, though i'm not sure about that one.

i really liked halo 4 as a kid too. its main menu is still the 2nd best in the franchise and i cried opening it the first time!
i really liked it… until it broke. idk why but for some reason i eventually got an issue where my 360 fan would spin faster on halo 4, and i couldnt hear any sounds that werent made by me, music or guns?! like it just refused to play those sounds one day
