1. The physics of the Gravity Hammer seems to be over tuned, the enemy will get flung out really far with one swing.
2. The regular Mangler shot will be visible on the HUD when getting shot at, which will block the view temporarily.
3. Don't know if this is a bug, during my last match of firefight, I got stuck by Jega, but got away with one sliver of health. (with fog, famine, mythic and black eye activated)

All I did that week of April when Gruntpocalypse came out was just grind the gamemode. Try to get to 5000-6000 score per match by effectively staying within the hill at all times, getting the most kills, destroying Phantoms if you can, and helping the team

Yeah it’s getting ridiculous, I play less often because of this. I’m probably not the only one playing less because of it, resulting in more waiting time for everyone and more quitters. It all started when they implemented Match Composer, this S killed the game.

The game population wasn’t healthy enough to deal with match composer.

It's all about map control. Make sure your enemy cannot have grenades. Count how many are thrown for each enemy and box in their spawns with your elite squad of top ranked players.

If you are consistently getting a lot of kills, sounds like social matchmaking is working - its not going to put you on a team of other similar performers (thats what ranked is for). Most of my solo games go this way, its part of the trueskill formula no?

For the record I would typically prefer more even matches in social too, but I have to deal with how the system is implemented 😦

Put on your "smooth operator" team leader voice on comms and get your team to coordinate. Ping everything. Individual K/D means little for bringing home a juicy W. It's all about team work, and if you're playing ranked without a team on mic, you're gonna go home with an L nearly every time.

It’s very common for games. GRA V did similar. As did Red Dead. Call of Duty does the same, I think.

It’s easier on the devs because campaign and multiplayer require different balancing and code.

you always place a bit lower. I've placed D1/D2 and peaked D4-D5 pretty consistently. I think I get better at the same rate as most diamond players so im just stuck here.

Also all its doing in placement matches is measuring your performance vs your expected performance. So if you're dominating gold/low plat players, you're not gonna suddenly place diamond.

Whereas if you got unlucky and placed against Onyx level players, lost all your placements, but held your own, you'd place higher.

And after a reset you dont really know what rank people actually are unless you look up their profiles

yeah, honestly resets aren't really that important. you are still essentially being judged on the same metric unless 343 change the brackets

you have to convince the system you're getting better reset or not

This 100 spartan points per match thing is working out a lot better than I expected on Infinite, feel I have a reason to just jump on and play some Infection when I've got nothing else to play whilst I grind for haunted. Still, hoping forge maps gets added to the infection at some point soon to give it a bit more life

I'll never understand grinding for hero. It takes thousands of games, just play the game at your own pace and play the playlists you enjoy instead of burning yourself out. i've played on One X, Series X, and a PC with AMD CPU+GPU. Never had crashing issues in this game

im not exactly sure what causes crashing but it's not universal that's for sure

maybe it's using armour affects or something like that, who knows

the freezes on Series X are very weird but I'd guess it has something do with the 120fps mode pushing the CPU to the limit

Custom game browser (cgb) is VERY good. I counted in-match player count of mcc v infinite cgb one day at same time.

The CGB is underrated for both games imo

MCC Reach cgb is unique:

• Pelicans vs Phantoms (you can fly literal pelican and phantom that can shoot, yes)
• Scarab Apocalypse (Walker Assault)
• Scarab auto shoots enemies, walks, fires on objectives, lowers if lega damaged, can explode apart via core destroyed
• Flood Invasion mode:
• Flaming skulls act as infection forms and chase you
• several Flood classes. Wall climbers, exploders, jumpers, swarms.
• Elite vs Elite Invasions, grunt brute classes
• 3rd person ODST Firefight/Floodfight
• very old school custom modes, infections, desert bus

Halo Infinite cgb unique:

• the official AI capabilities
• Custom Campaigns
• Custom Firefights
• old school custom modes
• Custom map Infections, desert bus, etc.
• has tons of great maps that aren't being hosted as reliably or frequently as MCC cgb. Infinite's cgb is weirder.

this is literally the perfect time, even a simple announcement would do justice. the 360 marketplace just shut down and so many people have banded up together and started playing H3 again. I was just in a full lobby playing custom games last week and it was honestly a blast, yea nostalgia played a huge part in why i felt the way i did, but nostalgia aside Halo 3 is just a good video game, simple. remaster its graphics, add higher fps, ability to edit FOV, literally its as sample as modernizing the game..

i agree, which is why if they do decide to go through with it, i’d like for them to to merely modernize h3. keep everything the same and only update the textures and add more armor/helmets. for the majority of people halo 3 revolved around the cool armor you could unlock and the challenges you had to do in order to get them. two that i vividly remember right of the bat are Recon armor and Hayabusa. you’d have to unlock achievements for one (vidmasters), and for hayabusa youd have to find all the hidden skulls around the campaign. without armor there is no drive to play the game. another great idea 343i can incorporate would be to add more ranks. VERY similar to what Bungie did in Reach, they added these extra rankings once they realized people were already maxing out not even a month after its release. and boy didn’t that make a crazy difference? props to the folks at bungie for such great improvisation, truly.

if we get vanilla halo 3 with extra armor and ranks, halo will be revived. AND ALL PLATFORMS! We have to show the entire world why Halo 3 was so iconic. let’s finish the fight one last time.

Because its not.
It fires plasma, which travels slower than the hitscan of the BRs bullets.
Its not intended to be used as a long range headshot seeking precision weapon, its a mid-range shield ripper.

It has a slight mangnetic effect with its rounds, try and get the reticle on and red before firing. Four bolts are enough to tear off most of someones shields. Two more four bursts are enough to kill them or you can hot swap to a ballistic weapon for a faster finish.

RE pulse carbine, the carbine is a red reticle specialist weapon. The rounds track, but that doesn't mean it's possible to hit a moving target without leading it a little. Go to the academy and get a feel for the recharge / cooldown rate on the level 1 training, then go to t-2 to practice leading shots. it's a potentially _very _ lethal weapon when red reticle range / aim assist are functioning properly, which is predominantly never, but when it does work, it's more lethal than the battle rifle at the appropriate range.

If you play excessively, or are a streamer/personality/ranked only player, those chances reverse and it’s basically guaranteed they will target you. They are there for shock factor usually.

Amen! I gave it a try just to see what it was like and it was definitely worth it. I'd call it the worst Halo shooter, but "worst" does not mean "bad", they're all good and some of them are amazing, Halo 5 has strengths the others don't, and some strengths Infinite built on very well. I loved the Firefight bosses and the expansion of consumable items, I loved how Knights were designed, it had amazing weapons here and there that should definitely return (scattershot my beloved). While it definitely deserved criticism, it doesn't deserve to be shunned and has a few mechanics I'd want to see return. Imagine a Halo 3: ODST successor with the Halo 5's squad mechanic (and a little more polish), the squad mechanic wasn't executed well but there's absolutely room for it in the Halo world.

Infinite has felt like the first Halo maybe sinc CE which feels really accessible for most players regardless of skill level. That might be because of better sandbox balancing and not totally reliant on BR for every game. I dunno.

The AR in Infinite is amazing. You can get some far away kills you never would think was possible with an AR, including shooting the driver out of a vehicle kind of kills.

By all means push back. Gamepass is a really good deal if you're going to make the most of it and play a bunch of games. It is almost surely going to rise in price over time and try to keep people locked in.

they knew their system has been banning people falsely because they are reversing the bans their system made

I have 2 majors and one is in CIS it takes more than 1 guy and is substantially difficult.

you have to think about how many are using, how many variations, how many languages its all in, then to read and determine whats causing what.
