So something has bothered me with halo infinite and the pelican drop mechanic

If you set the match to LAN instead of online, there are differences with the pelican, and I don't know if its intentional or not

LAN has the landing gear closed with ropes visible holding the vehicle, whereas online, the gear is stuck out and those ropes holding the vehicle in place aren't there, it's odd, don't know if it's broken or hinting at problems with the online server.

This behaviour has been exactly the same since launch too.

The match making skill balancing favors short queue times at the expense of skill banding. Play ranked if you want closer games. Losing matters not. Casual modes are just to blast spacemen.

so I noticed they put a lot of work into making the scripting in the new forge. I for one love it, and have made many cool games. With all that effort tho, I wonder why they don't just add in functioning vehicles like Pelicans, Scarabs, Phantoms, Sabres, Falcons, etc. It's also odd that some people (Through a glitch) were able to fly a pelican in the campaign, which would imply that it's already in the game they just need to add it to Forge. I just think for now this is such a missed opportunity because I know a lot of people would love more vehicles and fun vehicles like the ones mentioned previously, especially the Halo Role Playing Community. If they have already made a statement about it, my research has failed me because I have seen nothing. Does anyone know anything about this?

You know you can use the original graphics in the anniversary versions right? At least on MCC

In the original version of Anniversary they used the PC port graphics for the supposed “classic” graphics. And MCC did this for several years before (mostly) fixing it.

The graphics for Anniversary are fine on a technical level. But they totally ruin the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the original game and recycle assets from Reach and Halo 3.

The game doesn't tell you where to go so you spend half the game wandering, the health system is garbage, and the shields don't last more than 5 hits
Ammo is scarce and runs out way too quickly
You need to dump an entire assault rifle mag into an elite just to get through its shields
Plus, half the game is fighting the flood, and is the worst part about the game

even on heroic the shields last a long time

even on legendary enemies grunts drop plasma pistols. youll never run out. Flood drop shotgun and pistol ammo, they are both really strong weapons so all you need is ammo in one of them and youll never run out. Rocket launchers clear out entire rooms so even 8 rocket ammo is enough for full path two betrayals. in ANY halo you dont kill shielded elites with human weaponry. you use plasma pistol.. look up "noob combo halo elite" you dont even have to charge it. pepper plasma pistol shots in ce are enough to drain an elites shield. assault rifles dont have to be op in every game that has one, this isnt cod

if you think fighting the flood is the worst part of halo i have no idea how you would enjoy halo 2

and going blind on many video games I get lost on where to go the first time playing lmao

One dream I have is for a Halo spin-off where you play as a marine who's pod crashes on Zeta Halo. It doesn't just crash at the surface however, it crashes towards the inside of the installation and the marine ends up trapped inside of the Halo itself. The marine must then try to escape by exploring the inner workings of the structure and find upgrades all throughout his journey.

Basically I want a Halo spin-off like Metroid Dread, or Shadow Complex. By the end of the game he would not be a Spartan, but something new due to his new Forerunner/Banished discoveries.

Hey me and my friends were doing a lot of thinking lately, and we came to the conclusion that they should make the ending score of every 4v4 game 60 kills. This will ensue that each member can get a perfection. This should also be accompanied by the previously suggested "Shut-out" medal (Which is an ending score of 50-0) and the double steaktacular medal (a score of at least 50-10).

If you're even somewhat good you can average like 4.5-6k score a game

the only hardware thats likely be causing netcode lagspikes is your networking hardware; unless you specifically have a network card then the only way you could improve that is by getting one or replacing your motherboard. there is also a chance that your cpu could be bottlenecking so hard that it impacts your connection, but that's significantly less likely than there being some kind of actual connection issue. what region are you in?

It is a good idea. Think of what it would bring to the table. It would clearly motivate players to try and achieve these new medals esp if it was spread across from MCC to Infinite. It has the potential to bring more competitive gameplay, as releasing these medals it would make it more challenging to get. Therefore increasing the amount of people playing longer and or more often. Its nothing but marketing for people to play more and that sound more profitable.

I also recommend lowering your sensitivity. 2.5 horizontal, 3.5 vertical and 3 look acceleration is a good baseline to start from. Just make sure to do most of your aiming with your left stick and fine tune with your right stick.

But also because the algorithm is weighted more to shorter queue times. As the majority of players probably don't care / notice the squads.

And besides - bigger teams, and those who are performing well together, get a weighting to their MMR - so it really doesn't matter that much.

If you track it over a period of time you'll find you'll pretty much have the same W/L vs four stacks as you do vs solo stacks.

Yep, those are called "Operations" as the term battle pass or seasons phased out. Currently, the Cyber Showdown 3 is live until 02 April when The Yappenning 2 goes live. That operation is free for all players. However, once it rotates out, you can't continue to progress unless you purchase the operation for 500 credits. That way, it'll never expire and you can come back to it whenever you'd like. There's a bonus item if you purchase the operation, too. Hope this helps 🙂

Technically, the only Del Rio actually did wrong was mishandling AI dispensation protocol, in terms of violating what we know of the UNSC UCMJ. He ordered the Chief to stay aboard the Infinity-Chief not following those orders, and Del Rio's crew not following those orders, isn't actually Del Rio's fault.

Which is why he got force retired and not anything actually worse. Frankly, I wouldn't even have force retired him.

Chief and Lasky both incurred less pertinent UCMJ infractions-Chief going AWOL and stealing equipment, and Lasky knowingly aiding and abetting the SNCO's actions.

End of the day-I think Del Rio still made the right call in terms of dipping from Requiem. Only thing I think he actually did wrong wasn't a UCMJ violation or a tactical misstep, more a violation of decency-he should've given Chief more support but still dipped with the Infinity, because the Infinity's the fastest ship they had at the time and getting the message out that a catastrophic Forerunner threat was running amok was a time-critical matter. He did the latter.

If you pick up the Master Chief Collection, it has the first six games (4 mainline, 2 spinoff).
CE -> 2 -> 3 -> ODST -> Reach -> 4

If you have an Xbox you can progress on to Halo 5 and Infinite. 5's campaign isn't on PC, but Infinite's is

In lore the flood was originally the precursors who created all, when they created the forerunners and human like said "hey we made you but we don't like you so the humans will take our place some day". Forerunners got mad and killed them, they were suppose to regenerate but something went wrong and now they're the flood. The flood is the whole reason the Halo rings were made.

This also wasn't in like days this was like a hundred thousand years or so.

turns out you were kinda right. some bug that messes everything up to be way lower quality than they should on medium. Also restarting the game helps, changing the settings and continuing to play in the same session makes it worse.
