Manual drive does not work on Apple Silicon Mac:
Macbook Pro M1 16, Monterey 12.4:
Manual drive with PS4 controller does not work. Drifting and nitro is possible but no steering.
Touchdrive with PS4 controller works fine. But switching from MD to TD is not possible.
On a Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2012, Catalina 10.15.7 both MD and TD work fine with PS4 controller. So it seems to be an issue happening on Apple silicon Macs only.

I want to suggest an improvement on the new Ferrari SF90 Stradale event. The reduction of the conditions required to unlock Stage 4 (from 80 to 75 conditions). This will make the event more playable!

No need to require a 4* Ferrari Roma to progress further than Stage 4. I play the game for 2.5 years and this event is unbelievable hard.

OK, thanks. The one area of confusion is that I believe that the GP is a 'special' event, too. But there is no label for the player to see (especially new players who are getting used to the game) for the GP event like there is marked on the tile for the Ajlana. Where you see "Special Event" in the white box. Only trying to clear up any confusion. IMO, if any event in the seasonal counts, then just make it clearer and reference "Seasonal Events" in the challenge.

@young dome I think I understand why this might be difficult to track down. I believe it is related to the graphics settings for a player. Specifically, the frames per second setting. I noticed that the sluggish response might be due to some process hogging resources. If I set the game to 30 FPS, apply, exit, restart, I can play like normal with the PS4 controller. Any application window size on my Mac mini.

@young dome Have the developers check resolution and application window size, too. I CAN play at 60 FPS, but only if the application window is at its smallest size. I can increase a little larger, but you definitely can see the performance hits increase (controller more lagging/sluggish) as you increase the application window size. Which makes sense as the graphics processor is being tasked more. However, at any size or FPS, the actual gameplay is fine. Graphics are clear and not lagging. Only the controller response. Oh, and you can have GL credit me my 100,000 tokens (NOT credits!) troubleshooting fee for figuring this out!! 😉

@fast lynx @quiet creek Try changing the game's frames per second setting in the graphics settings. And/or making the application window smaller (assuming you may be playing in full screen on a Mac?). For me, that was the issue. Either race a small window in 60 FPS or change to 30 FPS and I can play like before at any window size.

Yes, the same. I play on MacBook Air M1. Even games with 40 or 50GB of RAM run much better and run at 120fps.

You get the MP pass rewards after unlocking the next milestone

but since you bought the pass after finishing all milestones, that's not possible. so you need a #👨💻-customer-care ticket

and they will manually add them

for future reference, try to buy the pass before you reach the final milestone, so you don't have this inconvenience.

Ok, let me starting saying that I play A9 for exactly 3 years, and today after the update, I did one race and I almost threw up. The nausea was real due to visual of the map, effects and everything else. The resolution is now at extremely high definition, and it's compromising everything else.

@young dome Hello Codin, I'm sending a message again to say that the game is unplayable on macOS due to: (1) extreme low frame rate during races; (2) high resolution of everything on the screen (cars, garage, blueprints, maps, etc.); (3) all the 3D elements of the game are now at much higher resolution and this is causing an awful experience during races.

Also when the game is open the iMac starts to slow down due to the high graphics. Changing the settings is not working to solve this problem. Any help is appreciated.

Our hardware is more than capable of handling the game at max settings and now I can barely navigate the in game menu and get into a race. Just leaving the game to complete race by itself get timeout. Plus while starting the multiplayer race it get timeout if you don’t keep pressing the screen. And when timeout happens you just get disqualified due to network issue. This issue is happening after latest update @young dome

Thanks. That link works (as I have seen this support page in the past). Again, why does a corporation like Gameloft simply not care enough to improve. I submitted my question using this form and I get a totally BLANK screen after submission. And I tried two different browsers. Put in at least some sort of message that the form submitted. Now, I did eventually get an email confirmation, but seriously? I have been doing web and application development for longer than some of their developers have been alive(!) and this is just poor consideration for your supposedly valued customers. Either way, why do they still continue to link in-game to the BAD form site even after I have brought note of this problem over a year ago? I would like to ask you to pass along an extremely important change the developers need to implement: the end of league mixing on Multiplayer. I know there is no mix of leagues between Platinum and Legend anymore, but this should be implemented in all leagues, for god's sake!!

The idea of league mixing is extremely [censored word], it doesn't make any sense! The performance discrepancy on the majority of cars used on MP from different classes result in this poor gameplay experience. So please, I only ask that you help me pass this suggestion on to the team, so we can be somehow happier when playing on MP.

@young dome First of all I wish a 120 fps option on MacOS especially for the M1 Mac. Then I have a Problem with my wireless xbox controller. Sometimes my inputs are not registered. I notice this especially when drifting. To rule out a hardware defect, I installed Asphalt 9 on Windows and played with the same controller at 240 fps -> no problems. As far as I read here, several people have this problem. I also notice a deterioration in performance since the last update. It's no longer as smooth as it was at the beginning. Please fix the problems.

It's so ridiculous. I had set the graphics in the game to very low a few months ago, because the high graphics had confused me visually at times. I can fully understand your excitement. I had already asked Coding on 22.05.2023 if the upcoming patch (4.1.0) would fix the problems for macOS. He replied that this COULD come only in the next patch. I think with polemics we will not get anywhere here. I'm writing here to inform you that all the bugs from last season remains on the game. The developers fixed a total of zero bugs for the macOS platform.

After I update the game, I decided to check for the solution and I changed the settings for maximum (100% resolution and max graphics). After I restarted the game, the experience was even worse. The delay is extreme. After each click on the interface I have to wait for about 5-10 seconds for a response. It took me almost 4 minutes to revert the whole situation.

Then I decided to test a medium resolution (80%). It's playable, but to choppy and still lags. The frame rate is also low. I couldn't race without getting dizzy. So, I MUST set the minimum possible resolution (60%) to be able to play the game.

So, just to follow along, I'm re-writing the bugs for the team to fix: constant lag, performance issues, mouse scrolling bug (only works on half bottom of the screen), low frame rate, overheating and input delay.

Also, I have to say that there are 2 other bugs that I can't confirm are still there, but since none of them have been resolved, I imagine it's still an issue: controller bug and alert noises.

However, I don't play with these settings in full screen mode but in windowed mode. And with that I can play the game reasonably competitively without big input lags. But the performance was still better before the patches on the highest settings and the input was more direct.

In my case, the game is unplayable no matter what on macOS since my controller inputs are recognized from the game for a couple seconds and then it disconnects for about 5 seconds and so on. This may not be a problem for TD/tilt players of course. Considering the performance it is alright when turning the resolution scale down to 60 and the details to very low but everything looks ugly of course.
On my Macbook, performance isn't that of an issue with a M1 Pro chip, but the device gets crazy hot and battery drains ultra fast. Just wanted to share my perspective of all that 🙂

Thanks for the good news. I reinstalled the game after reading your news. Then I compared the performance as follows: 1st try: 60% resolution scale and graphics on very low 2nd try: 100% resolution scale and graphics on high. I tested in both full screen mode and windowed mode. The interesting thing is that in windowed mode the performance with both settings are almost equally good. In full screen mode, however, neither option feels smooth. Thus, I assume that the game has a full-screen mode problem. Could you please forward this to the developers.

main issue is around controllers for me, super long input delay... its unplayable at default or high settings, only lowest settings with nothing on, and still super long input delay happens occasionally. Do you use controller? I use more powerful mac which is the m1 16 inch.

i use a ps4 controller, yes i know what delay issue you are talking about. for me it is milisecond delay, but i still prefer to use keyboard, i have never used controller long enough on the game to experience the issue in detail. I am noticing that the controller will lag a bit when i use it on steam, where i will miss an important kill, i get mad. Also on Roblox controllers are becoming more of an issue for me, where the computer will go into sleep mode during a game, and also lag is too big of an issue.

Can u try to use a wired connection? i have not figured out how to do that with ps4 controller, it only charges it. since it wont work unless i turn it on, which makes it bluetooth. anyways tell me if a wired connection makes anything better. I hope this helps

@young dome two issues with my mac-

1. decals broken

2. Controller (both bluetooth and wired connection on mac) inputs arent registering on certain parts of a map, i dont think its the fault of my controller. example-

3. tried club clash race - gold rush with venom f5. every time i play that specific race, the inputs dont register for the first 4 seconds of the map.

4. weekly event- elise + new york uptown, everytime i play that race, and i mean Every damn time, the inputs dont register for the last 5 seconds of the map.
   There are numerous other examples, but i just pointed out two. Seems like something is wrong in specifc parts, its only these parts that my inputs dont register

please fix the controller issue

I’ve been having the exact same issues as LS Carnage just listed. I started defending my clash streets and these issues are making it impossible to compete without crashing. It’s always in the same spot in certain maps where you lose controller input. It’s beyond frustrating especially with all the money I spend on this game.

The mouse often become invisible, after playing a bit. I don't know where I'm clicking causing wrong selections. Only quit the game and reopen fix the issue. But is very frequent and so annoying. 😬

I have an iMac.
A small update: I was able to access my club once. I also found out that I cannot chat with other members within the club.

Everytime I try to read older messages, it will also close the chat tab

@young dome Hi. I wonder why the team behind this game keep making awful decisions on Asphalt 9. There are so many things to improve but it's clear that it's more important to nerf rewards and make players sad. Why? Such a bad and mean decision! The conversion rate was 1 Road Coin = 5 Credits. Now it's 1 = 1. Totally unnecessary... it's just Credits! We need them to play and have fun. C'mon... 😠

Yeah the pointer always disappears during the race. But it always appeared again when I click somewhere when you pause the race or when you finished the race. But after the update, the pointer is just disappeared even after the race and only appears when you click something other than A9.

Anyone with the same problem that with Legend Pass +1 Fuel you only see the normal fuel standards. Like if I have 5 fuel and I drive I have to drive 2 times to have 4/5 left but I can’t see the 6th fuel load

Like basically I have the extra fuel but it’s not displayed and that’s quite confusing

I have that same fuel displaying the incorrect number issue. Like Exp, mine shows 3/3 but in reality I have 5. The total does not change until you go below 3. This happened when I had 7 total but only showing 4/4. I thought it would fix itself when the new season started but did not.

I also see lots of screen/menus flickering which never happened before the update. For example, after a race when you click next, I see the list of racers and their times for a split second. This should not happen until I manually click the “Leaderboard” button. There are other instances of this flicker else where.
